nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 While this is a very "VKM" way of thinking, I have to give Batista credit for looking like a pro wrestler. One of the main problems with the smark darlings is when they're shown by normal media, they don't come across as 'larger than life'. For example, we all know what Benoit or Guerrero can do, but when they're shown in normal life, they look very bland. Someone like Batista, who is a gigantic man but is still (relatively) well spoken and dresses pimp-tacularly, would be much more impressive if/when shown as the 'face of the wwe'. I don't know if that makes sense, but hopefully it does.
Cherry Blossom Viscount 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 I liked how Batista flipped off Edge when he had Benoit in the half boston crab. I like it when wrestlers aad little things like that to their matches to get the crowd riled up. The only wrestlers I see really playing to the crowd are Batista, Flair, Orton sometimes, Cristian, and HHH. Wrestlers would draw more heat if they acknowledged the crowd. Guest NCJ Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Looks like he has already taken those lessons. Sorry I couldn't resist. The WWE has always been high on Batista. One of the reasons they moved Batista and Orton to Raw is was to keep them away from Brock so that they could have a big time main event WM fued around 2006. I have always liked his look and am begining to enjoy his ring work more. It is always good when power wrestlers look forceful in the ring. That is why I always liked Rhyno before his injuries and Brock. When they hit you with a power move it really looks like it hurts.
muzz 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 I was hoping the WWE would change the official WWE logo after Wrestlemania to a picture of Dave pimpin' in those swank glasses.
Guest M. Harry Smilac Report post Posted April 28, 2004 Acknowledging you need improvement doesn't hide the fact that you still kind of suck until this happens which it may not.The guy dresses like a pimp and has looked "improved" in his tag matches as of late but let's not blow our loads till he can have at least a *** singles match. And i'd like to see some more range in his promos aside from his near vein bursting roid rage ones of late.
Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 I will wholeheartedly agree that Batista is improving by leaps and bounds in the last month alone. You are starting to see him get more comfortable in front of the crowds and his personality as the monster enforcer is starting to show through. I don't think he should be given a God push just yet though. Even though I am not a fan of his tag team with Flair, I think him working with Flair has helped him with the in ring department. He almost can't help but get better in ring hanging with Flair and HHH. The reason I think he should have a slow burn push right now instead of the God push is because he has to have a restart of sorts. Right now he is seen as the guy most likely to job out of the four Evolution guys. I say slowly get him to a ME spot and with his improvements in ring as a power wrestler along with the better mic work, we just may have a money player on our hands. Fro 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2004 There's something wrong with you if you can't improve when you're teaming with Flair and wrestling Benoit and Shawn Michaels nearly every week. It looks like Finlay has been teaching him how to punch and kick in a better looking way as well. It doesn't hurt Batista that Goldberg and Brock are gone, so that opens up the use of a couple more moves from his OVW moveset for him. The guy has the look and charisma, so if he can improve in the ring he'll be something. There's a reason why he was the most over guy in the history of OVW.
