This Memorial Day weekend (Friday May 28, 2004 - Sunday May 30, 2004), watch, as egos collide, titans clash, fanboys silenced, haters trying to prove their worth, and all that other stuff. ...it's time to put up or stfu.

8pm: registration starts for all tournaments

8:30pm: MvC2 team tournament (3 player teams)

8:30pm: CvS2 Team

 

Saturday:

11am - last minute registration for all games(***$2 late fee *per* tournament***)

12pm - registration ends for CvS2 and super street fighter 2 turbo

12:45pm - super street fighter 2 turbo and capcom vs snk 2 tournaments begin

4pm - street fighter 3: 3rd strike tournament begins (following the conclusion of the super turbo tournament)

 

Sunday:

11am - last minute registration for all games(***$2 late fee *per* tournament***)

12pm - registration ends... period

12:45pm - marvel vs capcom 2 beings

1pm - guilty gear xx tournament begins

1:30pm - the rest of the cvs2 tournament begins

- after the second round of winner's bracket, i will not float, except to avoid double jeopardy

- again, more information will be released as it comes up. if you have any questions, please post here.

- i have thought/debated a *lot* about this, and i have decided to have cvs2 as a *console* only tournament. this will speed things up a great deal and possibly make it a 1 day event... who would've thought? there will be a cvs2 cabinet, but it will be strictly casual.

- if enough people oppose this, my only other option is run cvs2 on the arcade cabinet, *but* it would be double elimination with 1game/matches.

- for console tournaments, you must supply your own controller, plus we are not responsible for controller malfunctions... read: if it stops working, it's your problem

the 1,000 will go toward top *3*, to be divided (mvc2):

$650 for first place

250 for second

100 for third

It'd be great to meet a lot of the TSM players that live in the NYC/NJ/Philly area. I'll be coming with a bunch of Canadian players (around 20 of us) to prove our stuff at a US Major so please come on out and have a good time.

Bleh it's too bad the Break is too small to run 2D and 3D stuff on the same day. I'll probably be down there on May 9th for NEB, but I doubt I'll go for ECC, since I don't actually play those games.

It's a shame that no one would want to come to what will certainly be a huge event.

 

I'm entering CvS2, ST and GGXX Singles tournaments along with CvS2 Team Tournament.

 

Jer; I don't think I'll be going to NEC5. The NEC tournaments are usually held in the latter part of the year and I hate dealing with shitty weather conditions for such a long trip (that essentially ruined NEC4). Aside from that, it's all console now, which irks me to no end.
