Enigma Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 http://www.pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.asp?id=2255&p=1 Several sources in the Japanese media, including Nippon Sports and SportsNavi are reporting that Hiroki Suzuki, the wife of Kenzo Suzuki has signed a deal with World Wrestling Entertainment to become the promotion's first Japanese diva. According to the reports (which list her signing a 275 thousand dollar deal with WWE, which sounds really high), Hiroki will be accompanying her husband when he debuts on the Raw brand this month as Hirohito.
AndrewTS Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 You can check out a photo of Hiroko, who has worked as a model in Japan Well, no wrestling experience at all...eh, I guess she's just going to be a valet and won't stink up the women's division any more than it already is. According to the reports (which list her signing a 275 thousand dollar deal with WWE, which sounds really high), Hiroki will be accompanying her husband when he debuts on the Raw brand this month as Hirohito. That *can't* be right...
reign Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 You can all say what you want but it's about time the WWE tried something a little different with their "Divas"...I was glad when Gail Kim came in to the company and I'll just bet that Hiroki will be hot...I'm just tired of blonde after damn blonde...and yeah I know Lita,Victoria and Molly are all on the show too...I just think it is cool to have Asian women on the show....that's my two cents...Viva la Hirohito!!!!
DerangedHermit Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 I'd hit it I'd hit it too. ::cue Bukkake jokes::
AndrewTS Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 Don't get too attached. If Hirohito turns out to be another Nathan Jones debacle, I don't expect her to stick around. Why does Raw need this guy again? Or SD?
tbondrage99 Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 Does anyone have any idea when Hirohito supposed to debut?
Guest Choken One Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 what is it with Vince taking new workers and bringing in their wives... Marc Mero=Brings in Sable Goldust-Teri Runnels (at least she had prior expirence) Bikertaker-Sara It's really annoying and it's not the first time...it was done constantly in WCW and ECW.
Guest Choken One Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 Does anyone have any idea when Hirohito supposed to debut? May 10th...adding to the already LOADED show next week.
Guest Real F'n Show Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 Marc Mero Now thats who they should bring in. WILD THING!
AndrewTS Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 Choken: You forgot the Kat, although Lawler's not a regular worker.
Guest Banders Kennany Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 She is nasty looking. They shoudl have just tried to sign one of the better looking joshi girls.
ChrisMWaters Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 Maybe the reasoning behind wrestling organizations using wives of wrestlers as valets is because they're trying to find the next Ms. Elizabeth or something.
tbondrage99 Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 Does anyone have any idea when Hirohito supposed to debut? May 10th...adding to the already LOADED show next week. Really? Wow Raw is almost a cant miss show next week.
Guest Choken One Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 im hoping that 250k was in YEN. Because rey doesn't even make close to that (although im sure he makes good xtra bank with the merch sales)
tbondrage99 Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 Maybe the reasoning behind wrestling organizations using wives of wrestlers as valets is because they're trying to find the next Ms. Elizabeth or something. I dont think there will ever be another woman of wrestling like Miss Elizabeth, I just dont think its possible.

I dont think there will ever be another woman of wrestling like Miss Elizabeth, I just dont think its possible. I know that and you know that... But that doesn't prevent wrestling companies from trying to find someone to fit the bill though.
Guest Choken One Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 in what sense? In Looks or popularity or purpose? Looks? While no one had the class She did...Some would say that Sunny, Trish equaled her. Popularity? Trish, Chyna, Sable are bigger known... Purpose? You got it there. She was the first and imo the only Female to mean nething.
Guest Real F'n Show Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 She is nasty looking. They shoudl have just tried to sign one of the better looking joshi girls. You really think so? I personally think she's nice looking, and I can see how some might not find her that attractive, but nasty?

Yeah, back in the day Miss Elizabeth was all respected and stuff...today the fanbase won't respect a woman like that, they'll just want to look at her jugs and tell their friends how they'd give 'em the Shocker.

Yup and if any woman tried to wear dresses like Miss Liz did back in the day the fans would expect it to be ripped off each and every night, then if it isnt they feel the need to boo. Its a shame really.
AndrewTS Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 Chris: I hardly think that would be the reason, considering how WWE portrays all of their women. Also, I don't really think the big deal about Liz was so many any special charisma she possessed, but it was more about how she was portrayed and booked. WWE doesn't even try to do anything like that any more, as all the valets are pretty blatantly sex objects and prospective Playboy models.
Guest TheArchiteck Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 For some reason, she looks like Debra to me.
Guest Banders Kennany Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 She is nasty looking. They shoudl have just tried to sign one of the better looking joshi girls. You really think so? I personally think she's nice looking, and I can see how some might not find her that attractive, but nasty? Oh I totally find her to be nasty. Maybe it is the angle her face is shown, but it is not at all flattering. Yeah, back in the day Miss Elizabeth was all respected and stuff...today the fanbase won't respect a woman like that, they'll just want to look at her jugs and tell their friends how they'd give 'em the Shocker. "Give 'em the Shocker"? I've never heard that term before.....
Spaceman Spiff Posted May 5, 2004 Report Posted May 5, 2004 She is nasty looking. They shoudl have just tried to sign one of the better looking joshi girls. Why? It's not like they're interested in building a competitive women's division.
