But it is NOT a documentary. I was thinking the same thing. I might go out and rent the fucking thing just to see the thing after I've read so much about it. My sister watched it and started telluing me about it and after I told of several things that were not true or misrepresentations she gave me the typical liberal response that it was the the point that it made that was important. To which I replied, "but if it's not true doesn't that make any "point" moot? Moore is a liar and a polemicist. It is really no suprise that he lied about Disney's deal with him, he has apparently lied throughout all of his movies. I've always wondered why people feel the need to lie about things in order to get peopel to agree with them, rather than realizing that if they need to lie about it, chances are that it doens't need to be changed. Got it. and your hatred for Moore really does hinder your ability to make any rational thought towards the man even when reviewing his movies. He could make a film on par with Casablanca, and you would still think it was crap simply because he's on your "must hate and criticize at all costs" list I've said I liked "Canadian Bacon". And Moore, clearly, is incapable of making a movie of Casablanca quality. He can't make movies of "Ass-a-Blanca" quality. I mean fuck man... you spent several posts arguing that Bowling for Columbine didnt make any money, when its hands down the most successful and profitible documentary of all time... and when you were made aware of this you still said "well it still didn't make alot of money" even though, yes, yes it did... unless of course you're judging it on the Titanic profitable movie scale that says in order for a movie to be a success it must make upwards of $150 million That being said... yes, yes Moore is a fat, pathetic sack of shit but he's still a great filmmaker Are you actually attempting to equate box office success with movie quality? That is just sad. Compare his films to other works of fiction and he doesn't come out looking good.
