Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted May 7, 2004 Report Posted May 7, 2004 Man if Lewis was injured, the Ravens would be toasted. Crispy.
Lightning Flik Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 Twenty bucks says he survives the season, but just when they need him the most in the post-season, BAM! Out goes the knee. Honestly, I'm beginning to believe in the curse of being on EASports covers. Hopefully, Lewis doesn't go down.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 As a Ravens fan, Im not worried. The only curse on this is that no Cleveland Browns fan is going to buy it.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 Phew. At times I scared we'd have Peyton on that cover.
Ced Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 Makes sense seeing as how EA is pimping the defense this year. By the way does anyone have a running tab on the EA Sports coverboy each year and how they managed to do in their corresponding season? We all know what happened to last year's Madden coverboy.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 Terrell Owens is the ESPN coverboy. I demand this be the year that it goes to an ESPN cover jinx and as far as the Madden cover jinx so far.. 2004 cover: Michael Vick -- Quarterback, Atlanta Falcons - Broke Leg 2003 cover: Marshall Faulk -- Running Back, St. Louis Rams - numbers declined 2002 cover: Daunte Culpepper -- Quarterback, Minnesota Vikings - dramatic decline in numbers 2001 cover: Eddie George -- Running Back, Tennessee Titans - began his slow decline A good theory on how Ray Lewis will avoid the curse - hes not a RB. It went RB/QB/RB/QB the last 4 years. Ray Lewis is a MLB. But, funny enough, had they picked Jamal Lewis it would have kept the RB/QB thing going...
Guest Choken One Posted May 8, 2004 Report Posted May 8, 2004 i thought Jamal was in line before the incident but apprently Ray was a done deal before hand
