thuganomics 0 Report post Posted May 9, 2004 From WrestlingObserver.com: Next week will be the announcement of the Fox Sports Net deal. Apparently they've approached FSN with the name TNAW (Total Nonstop Action Wrestling) and will drop the NWA name, although that decision may change as well. But they are researching if anyone has the rights to the TNAW initials that can get them in trouble. Hopefully the Tropical Nomad Association of Wisconsin won't sue and force a name change. You are a national company now...you can't really market something called T-N-A without TITS AND ASS being the first thing that pops in their head. Can't they Just call it...AAA. NWA is a great company name, and it's easy to roll off your tongue. TNAW is a "Ugh, why must the name be so fucking long" and TNA is of course "Tits n' Ass". Then they'd also need to get rid of the NWA World Heavyweight title, as well as the NWA World Tag Team titles, considering they'd no longer be with the NWA. However, if they're dropping the TNA sub-name and just going by the NWA, that's a little better. Unfortunately, that could definitely hamper newer fans' opinions on "old-school" wrestling, since TNA has been pretty, well...fucking bland for the past, oh...8 months? Which is what I suggested a long ass time ago. I always said the initials TNA were ignorant. In fact, the only thing I can think of that I hated more than the initials were the cage dancers and Don West on commentary. Don West is getting better, but he's still terrible.
