Guest Dave Canadian Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 Just wondering who's from Toronto. I'm moving thurrr in the summer and I got a question. Do they have that "Graduating Driver's License Program"? Over here in Vancouver, BC, they got that crap and it's bullshit. Before getting your real license, you have to have a "Novice" license for a couple of months. You can still drive, but no alcohol allowed and you have to have an "N" sticker on your car.
Guest Fook Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 Yes, there's graduated licensing here. Try going to the Ministry of Transportation site for info.
Guest Dave Canadian Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 Damn. I was hoping that I could just screw the system by moving to Toronto. Oh well. I'm actually moving to Toronto for a job downtown at Royal Bank and to check out Ron Hutchison's. Thanks anyways
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 that system has saved hundreds of lives. stopping irresoponsible assclown drivers from getting full privs is a GOOD thing.
Guest Dave Canadian Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 lol you're from Richmond BC? Steveston over here.
Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 Looks like CWM is making a new friend.
Ripper Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 ...you have to have an "N" sticker on your car. ~Racist!!
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 CWM is polling future babysitters hmm. I bet CC needs a few extra fu...bucks.
The Thread Killer Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 I live in Toronto, and if you're going to be working downtown, and driving, you're going to be in for quite a treat. It's easier to get around downtown taking the subway, and way faster.
MrRant Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 CWM is polling future babysitters hmm. I bet CC needs a few extra fu...bucks. Tries to think of some BC related joke that hasn't already been told....

A couple months? That's all? Oh wow, you have an "N" sticker on your car and can't have alcohol. Why do you need alcohol when you drive anyway? You can't drink it anyhow. Sorry but I call it like I see it....and you're a huge whiner.
treble Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 Yeah, and if you get your G1, you're going to have to have someone in the car with you for about a year. And no driving on the 400-series highways. So, yeah, get used to taking the subway.

Guest Dave Canadian Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 By parking downtown is a bitch, I mean, it's fucking expensive to park downtown all the time. Unless I get a month pass from my work. It adds up.
