Don't know about that. Bulldog had turned heel by then, IIRC. Yeah, Bulldog turned on Diesel the MNR before Summerslam in a tag match versus Men on a Mission. I didn't know of any injuries because Owen/Yoko had wrestled three/four weeks earlier at IYH#2, and were wrestling leading up to IYH#3, so the injury wasn't severe I'm guessing. clean rob 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2004 ...with a card like that, I wouldn't watch JD if it were free. That wouldn't even make for a watchable Smackdown. Case in point: we do get it for free in the UK, but I just can't be bothered watching. And I haven't deliberately missed a PPV in 3 years. RVD/Rey vs. Dudleys is the only thing I can imagine breaking **.
King Cucaracha 0 Report post Posted May 14, 2004 I can see this being mediocre, at best. Seeing as we get it for free over here though I'll still watch. Or at least tape it, so I can fast forward the particularly offensive parts.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted May 14, 2004 I thought that Sky didn't show WWE PPVs for free in the U.K. anymore? KC, I agree. I was actually searching for a word a little lower than 'mediocre', but yeah, that's about it. Cena/Dupree could be good. RVD/Rey VS The Dudleyz could be good. The main event could be good. It could be a solid match. Even if those three deliver, combining what probably won't be greatness with the rest of the shit that's on there makes for a bad PPV. This is actually the first time since a pushed, new, deserving champion has faced a pushed wrestler, deserving or not, in a rather sizeable timeframe - we'll say since WWE really dropped it's game. That right there is what perplexes me about Eddy/JBL - PPV main event, noone else there, all we have is a solid main event. On the small (small) chance of there not being a run-in finish, I think we could have ourselves a solid main event, which would actually happen without the run-in, but probably not with a run-in, or some other form of an unconventional ending. And if that were to happen, then yes, we'd have ourselves a shitty main event - but remember, this is the first one of these in quite a while.
Guest Dazed Report post Posted May 14, 2004 I thought that Sky didn't show WWE PPVs for free in the U.K. anymore? They show all but the Rumble, Backlash, Vengeance and Armageddon for free. I don't know what they are doing with the GAB / Raw PPV, though.
