cawthon777 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2004 Sweet Christmas I've got Johnny B. Badd working four matches and a PPV match in one day in '95...that's a lot of confetti for WCW to pay for. WCW working more than one show on the day of a PPV? I REALLY doubt the accuracy of that info.
cawthon777 0 Report post Posted May 31, 2004 *** Starrcade 1994 - Triple Threat 1. Big Van Vader (with Harley Race) pinned WCW U.S. Champion Jim Duggan to win the title in 13:00 after Duggan collided with Harley Race (holding Duggan's wooden 2 x 4), and Vader hit the Vader Bomb. It wasn't a Vader Bomb, it was the short-lived finisher the reverse powerbomb. The Vader Bomb was the splash out of the corner.

cawthon777 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2004 PWI didn't indicate the finish but it wouldn't surprise me. Chris Benoit as victim #549 of the dreaded Watts' STF ... how sad.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted June 2, 2004 So I was watching the November '92 Clash... The finish of the "Bounty Tag" with Watts... Watts with a takedown on Eaton (leg). He grabs the right leg. By the way, this a "hot tag" segment with Anderson and Sasaki fighting in the ring, too. He holds the leg. Grabs the OTHER leg instead. Thinks. Thinks. Thinks. Decides to grab the right leg again. Puts on the STF. Eaton taps like Bret Hart locked on the Sharpshooter in the middle of Montreal.

UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 I'm assuming these house show WarGames in '91 were one ringed.
UseTheSledgehammerUh 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 BTW, yes, I'm doing '90. Technically, "World Championship Wrestling" began as a company in '88 when JCP was purchased by Turner, I believe. The actual titles were being downplayed less as "The NWA United States Championship" and more as "The United States Championship" in '90 tho. They were officially the WCW <insert belt here> in Jan 91. I've got some neat title histories going up, as well. The New Zealand Militia? Early "Royal Family" name? JHawk 0 Report post Posted June 3, 2004 And even if he wasn't doing 1990, I'll need them anyway for the NWA results site, so it's all good. Speaking of which, it's actually coming along quite well so far all things consideed. Once I get some bills paid I'll pick up the server space and upload what I've got (probably two weeks or so) with the official launch being on or around July 1. A pretty terrible show, but I wanna check out the awful Kong/Shockmaster match, Scorpio in the opener and hopefully can stay awake for the main.
