LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2004 What did everyone think of the JAE/AJ Flaire match and aftermath?
Hoff 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2004 Really well done, I thought. I like how Rick and JAE are throwing their weight around.
NYU 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2004 Enjoyed the Thrillogy beatdown of Crystal at the end. I really like how Crystal has become the ultimate sympathetic face and how, throughout this whole month, she's taken every beating that Zack has given her but continues to get back up. The feud is hot for this Sunday and, with the story that's been told, I really think Zack/Crystal can deliver. I was also genuinely surprised with the Hoff turn since it seemed to come out of nowhere (And made my Hoff cape commercial already outdated!!). Again, I really enjoyed the segment that the end of HeldDown, and it should lead to an interesting next couple of weeks. Papacita, you know that I've enjoyed your Panther/Bryte/Tina stuff from the beginning. The boxing match was really fun to read through, and I like how Bryte becomes more of a bastard every week. The boxing match was very well-written, the Tale of the Tape graphic added something special to the match, and the storyline continues to get better by the week. I'm actually surprised you didn't save this one for the PPV. I also have to mention the classic Macho Man interview. Great job tonight. The Gunner segment was a lot of fun to read. It was just a very interesting segment to look through, and the shots at Alfdogg, Caboose, and Zack made it even more fun. Everything was just done really well tonight. The card was stacked, and I really feel it made the show this Sunday look way more attractive. The Sly/Goran match put over the European Rounds match this Sunday nicely.....The Black/Static contest was a fun, little match in preparation for Sunday....the show even started off with an impressive bang with the AJ/JAE segment. And ah yes, I did find that Cappa/Heat vs. Drek/PR match to be good preparation for this Sunday. Great action, witty commentary, humorous commercial....it had it ALL! But, um, that's just my opinion - I'd like to know what everyone else thought .
Hoff 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2004 Okay, so. First off... YOU GOT SERVED! AND SWERVED!! Heh. Seriously, I hope the turn went off well. We've been trying to play it as close as we can without being obvious, and I think it went off well, but I am really curious what everyone else thinks. And just so you know we;ve been planning since DECEMBER (omfg, right?). Swerved, indeed. Anyway, this was a tremendous show, top to bottom. Drek/PR vs. Cappa/Heat was nuts, just a fun fun match that set up the PPV nicely. And NYU, you know I love you mang . I'll try to work the cape into my promo Sunday. I laughed, hard. Speaking of laughing hard, Papa, when I saw "Has a fake ass" on the tale of the tape I went BANANA. Seriously though, your stuff has just been better and better as, as NY said, Bryte has turned into more and more of a bastard. Great read, though. The ther matches were also tight. As I said, JAE/AJ set up the PPV great and was also well done; Black/Static was a fun read with a face going over, which always makes the mark in me smile. Sly's Eurpoean Rounds format match made me VERY excited for Sly/Cal. And the ME was great, GREAT, even pre-beatdown. Add in some fun promoage (Gunner in the UK = gold) and it was a mighty fine show indeed. You'd all just better be ready at the PPV....
Hank Kingsley 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2004 The SS and Alf jokes owned. I'm glad I helped Adam with them. Are you serious? Those jokes are almost 2 years old, and the shot at me was started by ANGLESAULT and Tony of all people. When you're stealing stuff from them, I think it's time to give it up, CWM. Papacita 0 Report post Posted May 21, 2004 Great show this week. I didn't see Hoff's turn coming it all. I was completely shocked. The backstage segment with Hoff, Crystal and Sly early on made it that much more of a surprise. Great job on that one, and props on the hot ass stable name. As for the rest of the show, all of the matches were great, as was the segment with Gunner...I thought it was funny when the fans saw him and started chanting for Rhyno. As for the Bryte/Tina stuff...obviously, I had been building to a Bryte/Tina 1-on-1 match for School's Out, but after reading through the boxing match and the post-match attack, would anyone buy Tina recovering in time to make it to the PPV? I'm tempted to hold the match off and allow Tina to sell the injury a little more.
Hoff 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2004 I'd believe it more if it were pushed back due to the injury, Papa. Were I you I'd hold off.
