art_vandelay 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2004 I found this show on the Comedy Network a few days ago and thought it was very funny. The whole show is basically Gary Busey (as himself), teaching this chubby sissy kid how to do things like overcome fears and survive in the wilderness. It's funny because Gary Busey is a fucking psycho and he really freaks the kid out. I'm pretty sure the events are scripted but the lines seem very improvised and real. Anyone else seen it? Guest OctoberBlood Report post Posted May 24, 2004 I thought they cancelled this? Or it was over? I watched a bit of it last year....
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted May 24, 2004 I'll also add the "wasn't this show canceled 6 months ago?" line. Although I said the same for Reno 911...
Guest slacklet Report post Posted May 24, 2004 It only ran for like 6 episodes on Comedy Central last year.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted May 24, 2004 It only ran for like 6 episodes on Comedy Central last year. Damn, even the shitty Jim Henson Project lasted eight episodes...

Gary Busey is insane from the stuff he does in the show. Consider the episode when they make a trip to the Good Guys store and Gary goes on to talk in depth about the conspiracy about cameras. Or the one episode with the indian guide as they go on a spiritual quest. Gary makes impromptu idiot statements or quest on the show for the kid to do. kkktookmybabyaway 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2004 I guess they could do one more show with Busey at the unemployment line (ah, who am I kidding -- he probably has more money than I will see in several lifetimes.) And that Henson show lasted 8 episodes? With all the ads I saw for that show during a James Bond Xmas marathon, I think they took up more airtime then the actual show itself... If you compiled every single time the commercial ran of Spike TV, it would probably equal all 300+ episodes of the Simpsons. EVERY COMMERCIAL BREAK they aired a commercial for it. nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted May 24, 2004 The Busey show just seemed very fake to me ... none of it seemed real, it all seemed like it was for the cameras.

Don't get me started on that. During a 3 or 4 hr. MXC marathon you'd be ready to hurt someone after seeing ads during the credits of every show and at every commerical break. Talk about overdoing it.
