Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 Release Date: June 18, 2004 Plot: An immigrant (Hanks) fleeing the war that ravages his tiny Eastern European homeland finds himself stuck in the terminal of one of New York City's airports when the time of his landing coincides precisely with the point at which the war causes his nation of origin to no longer exist, meaning that his passport and paperwork are no longer valid. As a man without a home, he takes up residence in the terminal itself, befriending the staff of the airport, and falling in love with an airline flight attendant (Zeta-Jones). I hadn't heard about this film up until a couple of weeks ago. I must say, it looks like it'll be very good. The plot is simple, yet interesting and will probably work thanks to Hanks. Oh, yeah... it's directed by Steven Spielberg.
The Electrifyer Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 On the radio this morning, I heard that test audiences hated the movie and they are still re-filming the end right now. The source was the local radio station though, so I don't know how much you can trust this news.
Vyce Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 I haven't enjoyed anything Tom Hanks did since......well, since Saving Private Ryan. (Haven't seen Road to Perdition yet.) I'll pass on this. Or better yet, just watch Harry Potter or the new Pitch Black sequel.
DMann2003 Posted June 3, 2004 Report Posted June 3, 2004 Of course I'm seeing it, I'm a Spielberg-aholic, haven't missed a film of his since Lost World in the theater.
