Purchased my tickets via the pre-sale today.

Got Section 117, Row 24, seats 16-17(2 tix) ends up being $130 or $65 each after conversion

anyone else plan on making the trip?

I managed to pick up Row 8 floor seats, the side facing the camera I believe (NWFLR).

Nearly purchased the $400 platinum seats but my better judgment opted not to. At least this time around...

I was all set to go until I found out tickets were already on sale (if you have a password, which I don't - tomorrow in that case). By the time I get around to picking them up, only shit might be left. I've never been to the ACC, so I don't know if it's one of those "Even bad seats are good" arenas or not. I'm also concerned that, this being Toronto and all, the excited fans will sell this bitch out.

It'll probably take a few days to sell out. That said, you can still get good seats as Ticketmaster tomorrow as they only allocate certain seats for the presale

It all depends on your opinion of "good", but with the exception of seats blocked by the titantron, you have a pretty good view of the action from anywhere in the building. The only two problems with the 300 (last upper) level is that from the last 5 rows or so in some sections, you can't see the arena jumbotron, and dumbasses in front of you tend to lean forward, blocking your view.

I went to SummerSlam last year so I'd like to go this year.

*remembers SS 2004 will be in Canada

On second thought, forget what I said.

Well I was told the password is Toronto, and there are some not bad (in the corner) $75 seats available, but no $95 or $55 ones (I'm assuming due to pre-sale limits). This doesn't help me at all anymore, though, since my wrestling fan friend didn't realize tickets went on sale so soon (nor did I until I saw the ticker notice on Raw), thus he was not monetarilly ready for this.

Don't make me wack you upside the head with a hockey stick, Rico. Canada rocks!

I know it does, but because of the distance from my hometown to Toronto, I'm not feeling like spending that much amount of money to go as that's me crossing international borders on a long ass flight hence my reason not to attend SS this year.

I wasn't knocking the country, I was knocking the hassle.

I figured as much. However, I ask, if SummerSlam was at Jou Louis Arena in Detroit, would you go? Because it's like, 15-30 extra minutes to fly to Toronto.

Yeah, I know, but he said "Canada" specifically was the problem, not travelling to different locales across the US. I'm not trying to make a big deal out of it. He said something, I chose to take it in a way I was pretty sure he didn't mean, he elaborated, I asked another question that I imagine the answer is no to again.

I'm going. Benoit vs. Triple H will be enough for me, but I really hope the card is packed. This will be the biggest show I've ever gone to.

Well, taking guesses at the card....

Benoit/HHH (HHH wins back the title)

Benjamin vs Orton (Orton loses the belt)

Edge/Christian vs Jericho/Partner (total guess)

Tag title match.

So, although it's total guessing, the Raw side looks good. SmackDown...

Eddie Guerrero vs Mark Jindrak (please no!)

Los Guerreros defending the tag titles

Mordecai vs Undertaker

Cena vs. Booker T (Bash rematch)

Whether this card actually happens remains to be seen, but it looks like no matter what really happens, the Raw side should carry the show to decent - good levels, and should be exciting live. If Mordecai vs. Undertaker happenes, while the match will more than likely suck to the viewer at home, I'd be marking like a... um, mark for those entrances live.

Oh, man, I hope SummerSlam isn't the show where Benoit drops it. C'mon, not in Canada.

Anyways, can't wait for Aug. 10.

Bah. They should hold another PPV in Calgary.

Canadian Stampede = did great

Backlash (close enough to us) = did great

TV's and house shows = better than they usually do

Calgary >>>> Toronto.

Unlike last year, SummerSlam doesn't look like it'll disappoint this year - there's more than the usual amount of hype for it, including the 'Road to SummerSlam' tour.

I'd like to go, but I have to save my pennies to make the trip to 'Mania. Ok, get a job and save my pennies to make the trip to 'Mania.

I'm hoping they do TV in Ottawa after this so I can go to that, instead.

They've got Raw in London and SmackDown! in Hamilton listed.

Figures I'd find out they're coming to do a live TV show here in town at the same time they're doing the second-biggest PPV of the year a few hours away. I don't know if I'll be able to con any more money out of people for that one.

Nope. Still too far and too much for me.

ya know...you dont have to go to all of them...

Yeah well, attending one of WWE's big four PPVs > attending a WWE 2nd rate PPV.

I've seen a second-rate show (by name) that was better than one of the big four.

Having never been there, can any locals help with some fun things to do in Toronto? Are there any good bars in particular? museums, parks, et cetera. I plan on getting in either Saturday night or at the latest Sunday morning and will need some time to explore the city. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Don't go inside the CN Tower, it's a waste of money (at least to me, it is). Just get a picture taken on the outside. Blue Jays suck, but you can get cheap tickets and it's worth it just to see inside the Skydome. If you want a museum, go to the Royal Ontario. It's amazing. Medieval Times is also fun, but expensive. Erm..

As for bars, there's a grill nearby the old Mike Bullard CTV building. I forget the name, but the food is good. Or if you like comics or any sort of quirky stuff, Silver Snail is the place to go.

Just explore the city. It's alot more fun if you head out and don't know where the hell you're going.
