spman 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2004 Yeah, I splurged big time today, buying 2 90 Dollar tickets to Vengence, third row of the lower level. Hopefully the main event with Benoit and Edge will be good, although that could very well change now that Triple H isn't filming that movie anymore. Here's hoping for a good show. Did anyone else buy tickets today?
WrestlingFan4Ever 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2004 I'm sorry to disappoint you, but there's been a big change for the show........Benoit and Edge will not fight in the main event.......instead, it will be Bradshaw (who in the upcoming weeks will switch to the Raw brand) and A-train in an Iron Man match. 200 dollars for those tickets huh? RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2004 I'd like to see that. Bradshaw/Albert, that is.
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2004 Just give up on all the hope you have, spman. The show's going to suck and you're gonna hate yourself for spending all that money to attend.
spman 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2004 Bah, Bradshaw vs A-Train would be scary.
Guest wildpegasus Report post Posted June 13, 2004 Bah, Bradshaw vs A-Train would be scary. A-Train had one of the better matches against Bradshaw that I've seen in a long time. People are always too hard on A-Train. He proves himself over and over again yet people still pick on him.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2004 They had an above-average match on Velocity a few months back. Nice and stiff and Bradshaw went to the top rope (!)
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2004 A-train vs. Jericho was so the MOTW. They need that to go, like, 12 minutes.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2004 A-Train vs Bradshaw. Match Background: This will be an iron man bout. The Match: FIRST FALL: Running clothesline from A-Train was actually MIGHTY sloppy. Powerslam from A-Train on Bradshaw. Covers for a quick two count. Bradshaw ducks a wild right hand. Bradshaw hits A-Train. A-Train gets splashed in the corner. Covers for a quick two count. Bradshaw turns A-Train inside-out with a clothesline. Reminds me of Willow's 'Bored Now' skin ripping finisher. Inside joke, don't worry about it. Cover, ONE...TWO...NO! I honestly thought that match was going to end right then and there. A-Train takes a right hand to the temple from Bradshaw. Bradshaw gets taken down out of nowhere! A-Train DDTs Bradshaw, but it just looked terrible. There's a two count on the pin. A-Train DDTs Bradshaw. Cover, ONE...TWO...NO! I honestly thought that match was going to end right then and there. A-Train hits a right hand on Bradshaw. A weak headbutt on Bradshaw by A-Train causes nothing but pain for both. A-Train charges into the corner but EATS BOOT. Bradshaw hits a right hand on A-Train. Bradshaw turns A-Train inside-out with a clothesline. Reminds me of Willow's 'Bored Now' skin ripping finisher. Inside joke, don't worry about it. The ref gets into position, administers the three count, and it's over. Bradshaw pins A-Train. SECOND FALL: Bradshaw strikes away at A-Train, not doing much damage at all. Bradshaw strikes away at A-Train, not doing much damage at all. Weak bodyslam on A-Train by Bradshaw sets up a legdrop. Bradshaw with a badly-executed spinning neckbreaker on A-Train. One more performed that badly and this match will end on a bad note, if you get my drift. A-Train comes up with a right hand out of nowhere. A-Train hits a right hand on Bradshaw. A-Train hits a piledriver on Bradshaw. I know I wouldn't let someone that bad give me a piledriver. Hooks the leg for a two count. A-Train drops an elbow...but Bradshaw moves out of the way. Powerslam from Bradshaw on A-Train. There's a two count on the pin. Side suplex from Bradshaw. Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! Bradshaw walks into a drop toe hold. A-Train DDTs Bradshaw, but it just looked terrible. Cover gets three for A-Train, Bradshaw got pinned. THIRD FALL: A-Train receives some punishment by Bradshaw but with that horrid offense, we're the only ones truly being punished. A-Train blocks a kick from Bradshaw. Wack kick from A-Train. Bradshaw reverses an irish whip...and A-Train runs into the referee! A-Train scores with a crappy looking standing spinebuster. Could have been done a hell of a lot better though. Hooks the leg, but the referee is still out! Bradshaw counters a sleeper with a jaw breaker and is able to get free! Big kick from Bradshaw staggers A-Train but that's about it. Bradshaw DDTs A-Train, but it just looked terrible. Covers for a quick two count. Bradshaw scores with a poor standing spinebuster. Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! A-Train blocks the suplex attempt and is able to hit the suplex instead! A-Train hits a piledriver on Bradshaw. I know I wouldn't let someone that bad give me a piledriver. Pinfall attempt: ONE...TWO...NO! I would have bought that as the finish! Bradshaw blocks a punch. Bradshaw moves in for the kill. Clothesline From Hell!!! That shook the ring. 1....2....3!! END OF BOUT. My Opinion: -*. That's right. NEGATIVE ONE STAR. That's what you get for this CRAP.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2004 Pfft. Clearly, that's not how the match would go. See, you have a Hansen rip-off in Bradshaw and a Vader rip-off in Albert. So, in theory, Alberts' eye would pop out of his head at one point or another in that match. That alone makes it **1/2.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted June 13, 2004 spman, I think you might be in luck coming off what looks to be a promising Bad Blood in less than 24 hours. Who was the other ticket for?

Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted June 13, 2004 Look at it this way, at least it wasn't a smackdown show.... or you would have to sit through live of Prichard's genius and see the Cruiserweight title being won by Mae Young... Mordechai Sacrificing a live goat to his "Higher Power" (G O D for people who exist outside of Titan Towers) And then using the dead Carcas as a foreign Object against Paul London, Rey Mystero, Funaki, and any other guy they forgot they hired to be serious wrestlers weighing under 220. The Undertaker can't quite remember which gimmick he is in anymore, so when Paul Heyman waves the urn around, Undertaker flashes back into Mean Mark Callous and Heart punches him... But then the Undertaker gets Attacked from behind by the new undead creature controlled by the Urn.... AL Wilson! Fifi getting it on with Al Snow's Long dead mutt Pepper.... its Necro-Beastality JBL going to a local town near you, finding the worst ugliest bit of history of your town. and then uses it to get Heat. And Eddy can't quite wrestle as his usual because he is so Consumed about proving His World championship Calibur that even the slightest chant that doesn't go his way he breaks out of the ring and Beats the fan half to death with a steel chair... Come to think of it.... Thats Damn entertainment!
Guest Choken One Report post Posted June 13, 2004 200 bucks for that? You could have spent 19.50 and witnessed a ***** 60 minute draw between two great workers...instead you will get a ***1/2 Entertainment match. I can NEVER understand the appeal of sitting in the front when it cost you 200 smackers.
spman 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2004 200 bucks for that? You could have spent 19.50 and witnessed a ***** 60 minute draw between two great workers...instead you will get a ***1/2 Entertainment match. I can NEVER understand the appeal of sitting in the front when it cost you 200 smackers. Honestly though, great workrate really doesn't translate well live , especially if it's not put on in an entertaining fashion. The star rating is really reversed in a live situation. Whats entertaining live may not translate all that well to television, and what's entertaining on television may be dreadfully boring live.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted June 13, 2004 Please...Witness Samoa Joe Vs CM PUNK. That match is ***** live and it'll still be ***** on tape. But I still can't understand the 200 bucks...
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted June 13, 2004 But I still can't understand the 200 bucks... Some people want the chair that comes along with the floor seat ticket.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted June 13, 2004 I took home a blood stained chair courtesy of Colt Cobana...thats THREE TIMES better then a padded fancy chair.

Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted June 13, 2004 Not to play mod, but any ROH discussion should be done in Misc. Promotions or whatever. The guy asked is he being ripped off spending 200 on a RAW Brand show, not anything else. I say depends, considering what the card is.
Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted June 13, 2004 Yeah, I took home Global Warning, Ruthless Aggression and Passport to SmackDown! chairs. Nice little perk.
WrestlingFan4Ever 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2004 Took home a No Mercy 2000 chair......was first row. Got it as a birthday present. Could not believe that I was sitting first row on a WWE PPV.
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted June 14, 2004 I think the thread title is a bit misleading since he actually bought 2 $90 tickets plus service charges, not 1 $200 seat. Some of your replies seem to suggest he bought a frownt row chair.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted June 14, 2004 90 bucks...Thats a little better. And I wasn't trying to start a dicussion about the roh show, I was just merely saying you can save your money and still get great wrestling.
Guest ManKinnd Report post Posted June 14, 2004 The thing is he can buy both. It's not like US citizens are limited to how much money they can spend on wrestling tickets and he just took up a big portion with this purchase.
