Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2004 Well, the reason they're possibly favored more is that there's a greater air of unpredictability at TV tapings.
Hoff 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2004 Point taken. BUT, you can see TV tapings on...TV. House shows, you gotta go to live, so even if you know the faces are going over, it's still a rare experience.
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2004 Rhyno and Tajiri v. La Resistance for the World Tag Team Titles Eugene v. Garrison Cade Molly v. Victoria v. Trish Elimination Match for the Women's Championship Matt Hardy v. Chuck Palumbo - Chris Jericho v. Batista Edge v. Randy Orton for the Intercontinental Championship Tyson Tomko v. Val Venis Ric Flair v. Chris Benoit for the World Heavyweight Championship Ehh, while thats not the worst show to be had, didn't sound like it was that bad. Im kinda hoping for Benoit/Kane and Shelton Benjamin to make it on the card here next week. I don't quite get why Shelton wouldn't wrestle in Charleston. Some people around here think HHH is going to show up and wrestle because he's doing the show at MSG either friday or saturday but I think they are just plain stupid. MSG House Show 100x>Middle of Nowhere MD House show that probably will barely sell 2,500 tickets. As for comparison, this is the house show (smackdown) I went to 2 years ago this July: Match 1: Albert vs. The Hurricane Match 2: Billy Kidman vs. Jamie Knoble Match 3: REY MISTERIO, JR & Shannon Moore vs. Tajiri & Chavo Guerrero, Jr.- Match 4: Nick Dinsmore vs. Test Match 5: Rev. D-Von & Bautista defeated Mark Henry & Randy Orton. Match 6:Rikishi vs. Kurt Angle Match 7: Six Man Tag Team Match - Faarooq, Sho Funaki, & Rob Conway defeated Billy,Chuck, & Rico. Match 8: USA vs. Canada Match - Hardcore Holly & The Big Valbowski vs. Christian & Lance Storm. Match 9: Torrie Wilson vs. Dawn Marie - Bra & Panties Match Match 10: Edge vs. Chris Jericho Reflecting on that for a second, it just dawned on me that Batista, Orton, Dinsmore, Rob Conway and Rey Mysterio (who hadn't debuted on TV yet) were on the card, and except for Mysterio, they are all back 2 years later now on RAW in big roles. But for the most part the show sucked except for Edge/Jericho which was actually decent. At least this go round theres probably going to be a Heavyweight Title match (Taker was the champion back at that time and floated on both shows) And if you've been here long enough, you'll remember that that was the show where some lardass sat on my camera and broke it, and told me he was sorry but it wasn't his fault because he sat in the wrong seat (the seat next to me was empty and I had put my camera down on the seat durring the intermission and the fat guy had just come back from the concession stand with two arm fulls of food.. and sat down in the wrong seat..) MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted June 20, 2004 Flair wrestled a somewhat meaningful match in SC (vs Benoit) instead of just being thrown ont he show to face The Hurricane or something for the sake of having him on the show. Id call that doing the right thing in the situation.
