Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2004 Roleplaying game from Bandai, based on the anime. Using cel-shaded visuals that look virtually identical to the property it's based on, this RPG stars recognizable characters like InuYasha, Kagome Higurashi, Sesshomaru, Miroku, Sango, Myouga, and others, as well as new characters only found in the game. You star as a modern-day boy or a girl who gets transported to the past by a strange timeslip phenomenon. The battle system takes place in real-time and allows for six-character tag battles. There are multiple scenarios (depending on which character you choose), as well as several sidestories designed specifically for fans of the animated show. Includes more than 20 minutes of anime footage created just for the game. That's all there is. All I know is this game is coming out next month, it was at E3 and yet, NO ONE has anything up on this game. Just screen shots and how it was at E3. Did no one bother taking a look at this game? Only reason why I'm bothering with it is because I'm an RPG fan, and I kinda like Inuyasha from what I've seen on YTV (late Friday nights, ugh). Anyone know where I can get some kind of opinion on the game? It's really frustrating to find out about this game, and yet there is nothing. Especially when it is supposed to be out sometime in July. AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2004 No clue. They came out with a fighting game on the PS1 though. Good graphics, mediocre-to-bad everything else. Basically, just like your DBZ, Ramna, etc. games.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2004 Still, I was expecting to hear at least what reviews it got in Japan and what to expect of it. Especially since NO sites have anything on it. The usually RPG sites I've gone to which should at least give a mention to this game at E3 haven't done so. Hence why I'm baffled. Is this thing just slipping under the radar somehow? As much as I appreciate this, CronoT, if you read all the websites that are there, you'll find that all they do is say more or less what I posted at the beginning of my thread. There hasn't been anything else given.

Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted June 21, 2004 Well, I bombed in French, and my Japanese is that of a three year old. So I don't think I will be getting to read any of it.
Ced 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2004 I have looked everywhere and have yet to find a hands on review of the game written in English. However, video games with anime tie-ins tend to be mediocre at best. Given that and being released by Bandai, the KING of mediocre anime video game publishers, I'm keeping my expectations of the on the InuYasha RPG very, very low. Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 Well, I just talked to my local Microplay and have found out the reason why this game doesn't have any reviews right now. Stupid game isn't being released till November apparently. Dammit. ...*sighs* Oh well... Guess I'll just have to get another RPG to sadate my RPGing addiction. Ted the Poster 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 Here you go Flik: http://ps2.ign.com/articles/502/502239p1.html Damn it, Inuyasha isn't supposed to be a kids' show, so why must they design it like one?
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 Firstly, read the article and it does absolutely NOTHING other than state the obvious. Secondly, over here in the great world of North America, we have some stupid people that stereotype all animations as being nothing more than kiddie shows. Hence why they dumb down the shows. That and as if Bandai would spend any decent amount of money to make Inu Yasha look good.
Ted the Poster 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 IGN has never been that good with previews for games that aren't part of a franchise, based on a movie or a new Final Fantasy game. Still, those screenshots make me want to call it Inuyasha: Legend of the Cabbage Patch.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2004 Yeah, it's pretty badly done for graphics... Especially in this day and age. Then again, as long as it actually is a wonderful (HA!) game, I'll take it. As I said, I'm addicted to RPGs.

Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted July 7, 2004 what's the dancing thing in your signature from? Oh...the topic...RPG's are good... I don't really know (I really want to know now though). I just found her adorable, and my signature needed a change, so here she is. As for RPGs, yes they are good. However some of them can be bad for your health. Like Beyond The Beyond. *shudders*
