Jobber of the Week Posted June 24, 2004 Author Report Posted June 24, 2004 Death is death is death. Stick to your guns or not, don't try to justify it.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 I'm not justifying it -- there's a big difference between the two. Although I think it is a bit "Big Brother-ish" I think I am on the wrong side of the stem-cell debate. I guess I could make a people-that-are-anti-death penalty-are-pro-abortion remark, but I just want to see you and Mike continue your pissing match over sources 'n stuff. Carry on...
Kahran Ramsus Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 Death is death is death. Stick to your guns or not, don't try to justify it. I'm pro-death penalty and pro-choice, so I might not be the right person to answer this, but the idea is that certain criminals are simply too dangerous to let live, whereas embryos are innocent. If life inprisonment actually meant life imprisonment that's one thing, but it doesn't. I don't think it should be used as often as it isin the US, but if a criminal is a raving lunatic who will clearly do it again if he gets out (those 'it was a message from God' types, for example) then death is really the only safe alternative. It should be a last resort, but it should be an option.
Vyce Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Oh well, I still maintain that you can keep going and eventually reach at "STOP MASTURBATING! YOU'RE KILLING INNOCENT PEOPLE!" Bill Hicks had a funny routine on that.
