ulfistgut 0 Report post Posted June 24, 2004 CZW Ultraviolent Tournament Of Death 3! Combat Zone Wrestling is PROUD AND HONORED to announce that CZW has finally found the place all the wrestling fans in the Northeast has been wondering what it is and where it will be and when it is. CZW will present CZW's 3rd Annual Ultraviolent Tournament of Death LIVE at the Breakaway Tavern in Smyrna, Delaware right on Route 13, 5723 South Dupont Highway. You can reach the Breakaway Tavern for more info on the the building at 302-653-1279. CZWWrestling.Com will have directions shortly. The date of the show will be Saturday, July 24th, 2004 and the title of the show is CZW Ultraviolent Tournament of Death 3: Banned...My Ass! In a change from the first two TODs... this year's field will not feature 8 ultraviolent competitors, but 12 ultraviolent competitors. They will be from at least two countries including at least 5 different states in the US. CZW is ready to announce the first 4 ultraviolent men to enter the field: 1: Evil Ninja #2 This hardcore wrestler from Fabertown, Japan stands in at 5'8" and is 166 pounds. He's held the IWS Tag Team Titles 3 times and he uses such moves as an Elbow Drop, Tornado DDT, Head and Arm Suplex, Fabertown Cutter, German X-Plex, One Man Pearl Harbor, he's done balcony dives before as well. The move he usually finishes his opponents off with is the Super Bomb. 2: Sexxy Eddy The resident of Very Long Beach, California has held the IWS Championship twice and has also held the WWS Championship. 6'1" and weighing in at 195 he loves doing the moonsault, what he calls the 5 Star Porn Splash, a split-legged moonsault he calls Sexxx On The Beach, the SexxxyPlex, a slingshot 450 called X Rated but his finisher is the Total Sextacy. The Total Sextacy is a springboard reverse shooting star press. 3: The Arsenal The second international wrestler to be in the UV TOD 3 from Cochrane, Ontario is 5'8" and 160 lbs but makes up with his small frame by holding the IWS Championship and the Montreal Deathmatch Title. He uses a Death Valley Driver, a Modified T-Bone Suplex, a double jump Van Terminator called the "Heat Seeking Missle", Springboard Somersault legdrop and a Wrist Clutch Fishermans Buster. But he ends the match with a Electric Chair DVD called the DVD2K1. 4: Green Phantom He hails from The Ancient Green Hills of Two Mountains this 6'5" 260 beast uses the Phantom Menace, the Shoulder-Hook Piledriver, the Cradle Piledriver, a Hanging DDT, Triple Jump Plancha as his signature moves. But he kills his opponents with his devastating Phantasm. Looks very interesting, I was really hoping the IWS guys might make an appearance but thought there was problems between the two feds. Great to see them and it's nice to mix things up a little from the standard DM workers. Not sure if Zandig vs. New Jack is still included (especially since we're probably looking at 3 ways to open it). It's fairly easy to guess some of the guys they'll use (Beater, Gage, Zandig) but theres lots of other possibilities including IWA-MS guys, possible inclusions of some CZW guys who haven't done DM before (Knoxx and Ca$h have been doing the bumping though - and Knoxx appeared in a UV 6 man in Italy) and Ryuji Ito is apparently going to work CZW at some point so he's another possibility. Guest Real F'n Show Report post Posted June 24, 2004 So with 12 guys, are they doing it BOTB style? Should be interesting, I like the idea of using IWS wrestlers.
Guest Aecas Report post Posted June 24, 2004 12 this year? If it IS BOTB style then things are going to get even more interesting. Good to see they're bringing in some of the IWS lads too.
Guest macheteofodin Report post Posted June 24, 2004 This is wonderful. Hopefully everything goes well for them. I may actually make the trip down for this show if a group of IWS fans/wrestlers decide to go (and tell me, haha). These four guys had a deathmatch at the last IWS show (V) that was sick as hell and quite good. I liken these guys to a Bailey/Mondo style of deathmatch. In that they are inventive, fast and more pleasant to watch than the slow moving, "you hit me, I hit you" stuff. As the resident IWS mark (well, one of them) I'll say that they deserve the exposure and congrats to them.
Guest j.o.b. squad Report post Posted June 24, 2004 yeah i kind of expect beater gage hatred zandig to be anounced. knoxx is another strong posibility he offered on the ill fated uk show to do his fbtw match with no ring. also by the promos before the joker zandig match the blowoff to the blackout Vs zandig feud is suposed to be ruckus Vs zandig. not sure about messiah i want the AWS messiah flash VS kaos supreme tag match to go down. as for iwa the obvius pick is necro he seems to be the usual guy they bring in. Nevermortal 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2004 So....Cash will attempt to be the new Mondo?
ulfistgut 0 Report post Posted July 6, 2004 I'm guessing one of them will probably try to prove themselves over the course of the event. It's shaping up quite nicely (especially when you consider theres only a 2 person crossover with KoTDM at the moment - unlike last years) with lots of young guys who wrestle the DM style I prefer (less smashing, more exciting wrestling and innovation with the DM stuff)
Guest Jay Z. Hollywood Report post Posted July 7, 2004 (edited) I don't see either Cash or Knoxx going past the first round, but I think they can have solid showings. Knoxx has taken tube shots before and of course he took some ridiculous bumps at Cage of Death. Cash I'm a little less sure of, but if they gave him a gimmick like "High Impact tables" or thumbtacks I'm sure he could put on something really exciting. Arsenal though, is going to be the breakout new star in this tourney, as long as they don't give him a slug like Pondo or Zandig in the first round. Edited July 7, 2004 by Jay Z. Guest Aecas Report post Posted July 7, 2004 I can't really see Knoxx or Cash getting past round 1 either, Cash would most likely excel in something like high impact tables yes but I doubt either of them will attempt to be a new Mondo. Mainly because I'm not sure they could pull it off. I'm rooting for both the Green Phantom and Arsenal at the moment to go far in TOD3 and I have hopes (perhaps hopes in vain) that Bailey might go far in this tournament. Guest macheteofodin Report post Posted July 7, 2004 I'm pretty sure Necro Butcher will be one of the last two involved. I don't want to see Zandig in the tournament. Then again I didn't want to see Beater or Pondo in it, but hey, the good outweighs the bad. I have no clue who the final guy will be in the tourny (meaning other than Necro...who is a no brainer) but I hope it isn't a big Beater/Pondo guy. Nothing against them, but I'd much rather watch the faster/less awkward guys wrestle. It's very cool to see Cash in here. I know Knoxx is willing to take really crazy bumps, but Cash is much crazier. Plus, I don't know what to expect from Knoxx. Cash, Bailey and any of the IWS guys will probably steal the show. When the fans at the show catch what Sexxxy Eddy is wearing during the match, they'll shit. Any dude that wrestles a deathmatch in a thong is frickin hardcore. Can't wait for the show. Hopefully this Montreal bus trip goes down.
ulfistgut 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2004 Necro and Zandig are the last two names.
Guest Soylent Green Is People Report post Posted July 9, 2004 Pretty much the obvious choices for the final two spots, Zandig i don't particularly care for but Necro is about as entertaining a deathmatch worker as there is on the indies right now.
Guest Aecas Report post Posted July 10, 2004 Its a pity that Toby Klein didn;t get a spot in this. After the match that he and Necro had at KOTDM 04 I thought he might have gotten a place in the TOD but it was not to be.
Vanhalen 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2004 3: The Arsenal Fuck me, is Thierry Henry wrestling? Arsene Wenger would be fucking amazing as a ref, "no, i did not see it"
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2004 If I don't go to Hellfest, I'll be there for this. Should be an awesome show.
Guest j.o.b. squad Report post Posted July 13, 2004 well czw has a little article saying zandig is getting medical tests done for the injuries he got in the last match with messiah. but if his match with joker is an example of how he wrestles hurt then he schould get injured before every match
Guest j.o.b. squad Report post Posted July 14, 2004 2 1st round matches anounced chris cash Vs jc bailey arsenal Vs evil ninja #2 well atleast 1 of the canadiens will make it to round

Guest Soylent Green Is People Report post Posted July 18, 2004 If those are the full brackets i see the final coming down to Nick Gage, Necro Butcher and JC Bailey, which i've seen quite a few people predict even before all the matches were announced (though i could see Arsenal/Ninja making it in Bailey's place too, depending how much they want to push the IWS contingent). Either way, the tournament is looking to be damn good.
ulfistgut 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2004 Arsenal vs. Bailey could be match of the tournament if it happens, although I partly don't want to see it due to the fact it means only one could get through to the tournament. Butcher/Bailey/Gage final suits me, I quite like the 3 way final idea as it gives real interesting possible final matches.
