Guest MikeSC Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 A NY appellate court has basically banned the death penalty in NY, saying that the instructions given to juries might cause them to pass a death sentence unfairly. You know, at a certain point, courts have to realize that their place is not to pass new laws. -=Mike

CanadianChris Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 link? http://www.newsday.com/news/local/longisla...-span-headlines Overreacting a bit, aren't we? I agree that the instructions are unfair as stated. They'll fix this in a few days, I'm sure.
Rob E Dangerously Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 You know, at a certain point, courts have to realize that their place is not to pass new laws. So, overturning a law = passing a law Interesting.. hhhmmm.. yeah..
Guest Anglesault Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 I'd like to say I'm shocked and all that, but you know, I'm not. By the way, reading Rob's sig, did anyone think there was a human being on earth that was attracted to Chelsea Clinton?
Special K Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 Overturning laws on grounds of unconstitutionality is pretty much their job, no? If it was the gay marriage thing I'd agree with you (though I'm personally pro- gay marriage.) That's passing a law with no vote.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 That's why when anyone breaks into your house, or tries to rob you, you kill them...
2GOLD Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 That's why when anyone breaks into your house, or tries to rob you, you kill them... And if you kill them outside, drag them inside. Thank the nice police man who told my high school class that useful bit of info. You know, before High School went PC and straight to hell.
kkktookmybabyaway Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 Did the po-pos also mention to plant some crack rock on them?...

Guest BDC Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Could you care to explain the "drag them outside" part? I've always heard you shoot him in your own house so it's obvious that he was a threat to you and in your house.

Oh, and from G. Gordon Liddy --- If You're Not Sure They're Dead, Shoot 'Em Again and Make Sure They Are. -=Mike
Guest BDC Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Sorry, mis-read that. I'd shoot him a few times and just say he didn't drop after the first shot. BDC: If ya kill 'em, kill 'em dead.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 The dragging them inside thing is just to make you look better. If you shot him in your yard or even if he ran outside before dying it's a little more questionable then "he was in my house so I shot him".
kkktookmybabyaway Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Fuck that. If he's on your property, fire away...
Vyce Posted June 25, 2004 Report Posted June 25, 2004 Did the po-pos also mention to plant some crack rock on them?... Have you heard that Dave Chappelle routine?! "Didn't anybody think it was suspicious.....that every dead black guy the cops found had crack sprinkled on them?"
