SamoaRowe Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 I guess WWE finally realized Bradshaw wasn't worth going on last again So have I missed anything by not ordering the show? I was in the mood for catching some wrestling tonight but did not have $35 for this show. Hows it been so far? Shitty. Speaking of which, do we have a winner for that match yet?
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 Paul Bearer is going to die... That's sad because of all the deaths in wrestling that happened within the last two years and Paul is a wrestling legend. I wonder if he'll ever come back to the company as road agent. This stint must have been punishment for all the bad things he said about the company on his website.
slimm44 Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 I'm listening to the audio commentary on world-wrestling.net and they were criticizing the WWE Title match beig on now before the Undertaker match, but really the match hasn't been as hyped as the undertakers new turn. Plus there has been more of a big deal about the Undertaker turning

SamoaRowe Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 So the main event is more or less heel vs heel?
Guest news_gimmick Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 Actually the death of Paul Bearer would not sadden me, he has looked horribly out of place since returning with the dead biker Undertaker. And he has put a ton of weight back on since the last time he was in WWE.
Prophet of Mike Zagurski Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 You realize the last time a company pulled this shit was...Havoc 2000 I think with fucking Kronik vs. Goldberg. WOW. They are really gunna end the show with Taker killing Paul Bearer. FUCK Smackdown. In all fairness, Taker vs Dudleyz > Goldberg vs Kronik. But not by much. Grr. Hasn't happened yet. Hold your horses and just watch or read the play by play.

Guest news_gimmick Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 Of all things, I wouldn't mind seeing the bull-rope match for the WWE title. After purchasing Judgement Day DVD, I thoroughly the main event. It was a brutal match that while not technically sound, I thought was worked well by JBL and Eddy. I think they could pull out another beauty tonight.
Lil' Bitch Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 I couldn't order the PPV, but for some odd reason the death of Paul Bearer sounded very appealing to me. Killing off characters=Ratings! Sadly in some cases for TV, that's true. Speaking of which, do we have a winner for that match yet? Not yet, and Eddie busted up Bradshaw with a chair.
SamoaRowe Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 Speaking of which, do we have a winner for that match yet? Not yet, and Eddie busted up Bradshaw with a chair. Yay! Another question: is the match any good thus far?
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 I hope Bradshaw wins, just so this thread is actually active and to give me another excuse on why Smackdown is in the shitter.
Lil' Bitch Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 Another question: is the match any good thus far? Its alright. It doesn't feel as long as JD though. Edit: FROG SPLASH ON BRADSHAW!
SamoaRowe Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 I hope Bradshaw wins, just so this thread is actually active and to give me another excuse on why Smackdown is in the shitter. But do we really want to have to see Bradshaw's name added to the list of champions? Imagine twenty years into the future, when the great champs of the past are remembered. Wouldn't JBL just seem so out of place?

Wouldn't JBL just seem so out of place? He would be 1000x better than "World Champion Kenzo Suzuki" or "Luther Reigns", but otherwise, yes, it would seem awkward.
SamoaRowe Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 Another question: is the match any good thus far? Its alright. It doesn't feel as long as JD though. I don't imagine it would. It's not the main event, and I can't see a bullrope match being able to go that long. Out of more curiosity, is the bullrope at least longer than the one they used on Smackdown this week? that thing looked painfully short.
Guest news_gimmick Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 Please don't tell me Bradshaw is the new WWE champion... please...
Aero Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 I hope Bradshaw wins, just so this thread is actually active and to give me another excuse on why Smackdown is in the shitter. You want Bradshaw to be champion in order to make a message board thread more active and to make Smackdown worse. That makes sense...
SamoaRowe Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 Please don't tell me Bradshaw is the new WWE champion... please... Bradshaw isn't the new WWE Champion. Yet.
Lil' Bitch Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 And Eddie takes the announcer table bump.
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 Eh, I like seeing people complain. It's the only reason this folder is entertaining.

Guest news_gimmick Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 But people complaining in the WWE folder does not entertain me while watching Smackdown.
SamoaRowe Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 But people complaining in the WWE folder does not entertain me while watching Smackdown. It only bugs me on nights where I'm actually enjoying Smackdown (not lately) and the complaining seems pointless. But when the show deserves complaining, it's a good old time.
Lil' Bitch Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 How long has this match gone? Edit: 20 minutes or so Eddie wins! EDDIE WINS! EDDIE WINS!
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Posted June 28, 2004 Report Posted June 28, 2004 And cowbell right to Bradshaw's nuts! Eh. Question: Has WWE ever had a Strap/Bullrope Match for a title before on PPV? I remember one with Savio/Austin at IYH8, but that was without a title.
