It's not retarded at all. If anyone would be allowed to vote for any candidate during a primary, it would be like 10th graders voting for the 11th grade class president...

A lot of people just sign up with the first booth/table setup in the mall or where ever they are signing folks up. From then on out you can vote for whoever the hell you want to. I am "registered" as a democrat, which in REALITY only has to do with the media being able to give out statistics on the number of people registered, oh and I get a "please give me money" letter in the mail everytime elections swing by. No one is binded to vote according to who you registered with, so technically EVERYONE is an indepedenet as far as VOTING goes, unless you take it upon yourself to vote down party lines on purpose...... What's this "everyone" bullshit? YOU are a Democrat, shackled by your ideology. I am a free-thinking independent, no party holds sway over me!

I'd like to go out and play with you guys but this Ball and Chain that's wrapped around my leges saying "registered Republican" is keeping me from doing so. I guess it's back in the house for me to watch Newt on C-Span again...
