I'm not saying he's a definite World title contender or anything like that, but he gets a lot of shit from people. I think, if given decent chances, he could've actually been some sort of a success. Totally agree. He is very useful to the company.

Because (1) The goal of WWF wrestling is to draw money, (2) Drawing money takes talent, (3) Hogan had that talent. OK, for once and for all, I AGREE! Hogan made money. No question. But, you might wanna check out the title of this thread. It is about underrated workers, which in my opinion, Hogan is not. PLease don't tell me again that I'm wrong because Hogan is rich. I truelly understand that, and have never argued that. He may be the biggest draw in the history of pro-wrestling. I don't care. The guy is not a good worker.
deancoles Posted July 4, 2004 Report Posted July 4, 2004 I forgot to mention him but in 97 Alex Wright was improving greatly but unfortunatly his injury at the end of the year pretty much ended his chances of being pushed and when he came back he was a comedy act.

Alex was a pretty good worker, and I really thought the Berlyn character was going to work. What killed it was when Buff refused to cooperate in his initial fued. He just never got on track after that.

Just watch him "crying" after Stacy got hit with the chair and his WM 17 match with Eddie when he got tied up in the ropes (Eddie falling out of the ring was a bonus!).

He's not the 2nd coming of Flair or anything but he sells for his opposition and doesn't botch stuff half as much as his WCW/early WWF days. He's starting to develop the personality to match his gimmick. I wouldn't mind seeing him vye for the US Title by the end of the summer.
The Buzz Posted July 5, 2004 Report Posted July 5, 2004 I think some current underrated workers are Val Venis and Rhyno. I think both put on solid matches when asked and have the presence. Brad Armstrong has to be one of the most underrated guys I've ever seen. Great in the ring.....but had no personality.
