Guest wildpegasus Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Maybe someone who's been to the house shows lately can answer this. Tonight, Benoit didn't quite seem to have the acceleration he usually does on his chops. Now it's true that he was chopping a taller wrestler in HHH (which makes it hard to chop as fast because you're going upwards, plus I find wrestler's can't chop thicker wrestlers as fast) and it was a little hard to tell but it still got me a little worried. They were still faster than the time he was injured and feuding with Austin/Angle where he was noticably chopping slower than his usual stuff so things might be okay injury wise. Anyone notice anything tonight?
deancoles Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Didn't Benoit have a biceps injury a while ago? He never had surgery so maybe it's bothering him.
Guest wildpegasus Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Didn't Benoit have a biceps injury a while ago? He never had surgery so maybe it's bothering him. That was a semi torn bicep which occured in the bloody Smackdown match against Angle shortly after the Rumble. I'd guess that it would've healed and I don't even know what arm it was. It's possable it could be coming back to haunt him though. I don't want to scare anyone here by possably making a mountain out of a molehill. It's just an observation I made tonight which might not be completely accurate. Edit -- I noticed the 2nd series of chops Benoit was kind of looking at Flair from the side so they shouldn't count. The 1st set he used against HHH weren't as bad as I thought. Not quite up to his normal speed but still not enough evidence to say that he might've been hurt.
Guest Real F'n Show Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 I was also thinking they were weak compared to the usual chops. I was just thinking he was unmotivated but I guess he might be holding back for the PPV, where he will unload on Trips with the stiffest chops ever. Let's hope for that scenario.
Guest Repo Man Reborn Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 This thread should be called: "WE ARE OFFICIALLY OUT OF TOPICS" Anybody notice how Trish is using a lighter shade on her lips now? I wonder if she had an allergic reaction to her regular color. Or maybe it's foreshadowing Christian's return?
The Czech Republic Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Have you guys noticed that the turnbuckle pads look different?
benoit4hor Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Have you guys noticed that a "retarded" gimmick is the most over thing in the WWE. While the other top RAW story includes a "who's baby is it" angle. Meanwhile on Smackdown The Undertaker killed Paul Bearer and Bradshaw is the WWE champ. Yet we hate Smackdown and think RAW is "pretty good" When in reality if someone told us all of this last year, we would probably have laughed at their asses for the lame ass fantasy booking.
Guest Repo Man Reborn Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 I have noticed that lately Batista's hair appears more full of body. Could he have possibly switched hair care products? Anyone who has been to a house show recently, please comment.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 People have off nights ya know.
Guest Fook Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 People have off nights ya know. Quit making sense. On a side note, I noticed that Victoria's hair is just slightly longer than it was last week. Jericho's too. Weird.
Guest Staravenger Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Chops breaking a wrestlers hand is a horrible excuse. Shelton Benjamin broke his hand and wrist punching Garrison "Stupid Fuck" Cade's knee brace when Cade lifted his leg for a kick. Edge broke his hand....doing something, I don't know. Trish doesn't even do chops, and if she does, it's more like a smack across the chest with an open hand. IIRC didn't Val Venis wear a cast on his hand for a few weeks in May? I don't recall him being a big chop fan.
Guest wildpegasus Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 This is a very important topic. Last time and the only time Benoit couldn't chop right he was out for over a year immediatly afterwards. Since when has the health status of the heavyweght champion not been important?
NoCalMike Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Was it me or did the ring ropes have a little more bounce to them? Oh and the lighting, was it a littler dimmer then usual. Lets not forget about the Crowds white-shirt to colored shirt ratio was way off from the usual crowd..........hmmmm....WHAT'S GOING ON, AAAAAAAAAAH~!

Star Ocean 3 Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Quoting all three in one post would have been impossible, of course.

Art Sandusky Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Clearly he should lose the title and work a program with Chuck Palumbo to get Homoerotic Chuck v2.0 over because of this.
iggymcfly Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Let's go back to making fun of WildPegasus. That was funny. Ha ha, so funny. So anyway, has anyone noticed that Randy Orton's schlong looks longer than normal? I wonder if that EnerX stuff really works?
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted July 6, 2004 Report Posted July 6, 2004 Never did I think to see the day W.P. would stoop so low. You've all driven each him insane. Benoit having a bad night with chops isn't a big deal. and the fact that the last time it happened he was out for a year? COINCIDENCE
Guest wildpegasus Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 Never did I think to see the day W.P. would stoop so low. You've all driven each him insane. Benoit having a bad night with chops isn't a big deal. and the fact that the last time it happened he was out for a year? COINCIDENCE I apologize for my insanity. I went insane back in 98 when I did 20 rep breathing squats only to strip the weights afterwards and keep on going. I've never quite been the same since. Don't let it happen to you. Learn from those that have gone before you.
Guest Repo Man Reborn Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 I think WP brings up valid points about the crispness of Benoit's chops. And now that we've resolved that matter, let's talk about the ratio of skin to tattoos on Tyson Tomko.
Guest Staravenger Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 Here's a better Tomko ratio: Number Kicks hit to missed.
Guest Repo Man Reborn Posted July 7, 2004 Report Posted July 7, 2004 If Benoit hit Tomko with an uncrisp chop, would anyone hear it?
