What program will HHH suck the heat out of next?

You guys are thinking way beyond HHH's thought process. "He has better matches as a heel", "Can he play a better face than Orton?". He has a movie coming out. He doesn't like the Rock. Rock is a "big time movie star". Blade III has the prospect of being a big success, making more money than Rocks last 2 movies combined. Ya think HHH will be going into the premiere of that film with the fans booing him? He turns face, the fans love him, they go see his movie inflating the box office numbers, he gets to gloat at how he's a better and bigger movie star than the Rock.

I completely forgot about that movie. You bring up a good point. How much screen time does HHH get in this?

He's second to the villain, I believe, and I guess the director liked him enough to max out his screen time. So think Ron Pearlman in Blade 2.

But this isn't a long-term character. Why put someone in the main event who won't even be around, long-term?

 

Because you're milking him for what he's worth. You get more out of a main eventer than a Midcarder. That's why midcarders are in the "Mid Card" because they aren't over enough to be profitable yet.

 

The real money with Eugene is in the merchandise I would think. And he would sell as much as a midcard comedy wrestler. Hell, he'd probably sell more because there won't be a chance that the crowd would be against him like they are appearing to be now. Look at Hurricane.

 

One Show. One. In Canada, when Eugene was wrestling two Canadians.

 

And the more tv time you get the more over you should be and the more over you are the more merchindise you move. It's pretty simple.

The only two scenarios I see coming out of the current situation is either Eugene turns heel and Triple H is booted out of evolution and turns face to promote his movie........OR.........Triple H just uses Eugene and then Eugene finds himself magically back in the midcard, wasted and on his way to jobbing to the Nathan Jones's of the wrestling world from now on.

 

Gimmicks like this never work for more then a few months, especially when they are force fed down the throats of fans. Eugene is a midcard gimmick and was just plucked out by Triple H in order to give himself more heat. As soon as this is accomplished, Eugene will be discarded like all those before him.

Because the angle JUST STARTED two-three weeks ago with Eugene/HHH, and could last well into the fall. Do we know when? No. Do we know how this will turn out? No. Do the writers even know how it will turn out? I don't know, but probably not.

 

I remember thinking the Eugene gimmick was going to flop...BEFORE IT DEBUTED!!! And did it? NO! This is the same case....just starting, and everyone is shitting on it.

Eugene and HHH have amazing chemistry. Their segments these past few weeks have been pure gold. HHH has actually helped Eugene get even more over.

I think the Eugene storyline is good as it is. Sure, it would be nice if they could write another story for Benoit that could run concurrently, but given the lack of ability the writers have shown over the last couple years, just one storyline this good is enough to keep me happy.
