LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2004 Great show tonight. Drek/Calvin was awesome. I'm really enjoying the stuff with Hoff and Gunner and the EoD Tourney and the ominous message for Hoff. Am I the only one disappointed with how Shooter Jay's entrance into the EoD was sort of just thrown out there in the commentary. I would have expected a little more hoopla surrounding it. The stuff with The Saints and Chicks over Dicks is interesting and I can't wait to see where it goes. I was cracking up laughing at GPX messing with Jingus and The Sadist's subtitles. How did everyone like the twist in my storyline? Things are about to heat up and you won't believe the places I'm going next with this story. EDIT: More feedback: Good promo by Sly and I'd love to see Sly/Calvin in the first round. I love the NNMX because any chance to get Jim Cornette back in OAOAST is fine by me. Interesting words from Rave and Assault. Their match should be interesting at LTP. EDIT2: Okay now I've finished the show. Patty O'Green 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2004 (edited) All in all a good show. The last two matches were gold! good job by KC ( I told you all he was a great writer) and NYU in writing those. The immature humor displayed by GPX during the J&S skit had me cracking up. I'd be surprised to see Sly/Calvin in the first round of the EOD tourny. I would've pegged that for the final. I like the Rick Edwards stuff. I'm a sucker for dramatic stories. RAS's match at LTP will probably be pretty cool, even though I don't actually understand it. Mystery Eskimo 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2004 (edited) My not very detailed feed: -Nice opening promo. Drek continues to be my new favourite OAOAST wrestler. -Liked the All American Boys. Good match to establish the NNMX. JR with a fly swatter as his weapon of choice was great. - Zack and Rodez getting into it was solid. Nothing spectacular but did the job to set up the match. -More Intrigue~! with Rick Edwards. I have no idea where this is going but I'm looking forward to finding out. -Calvin wants to do it alone? Thats kinda face-ish, but I can't see the Thrillogy splitting already... -Poor Logan gets squashed. Hope Crystal didn't catch anything... -Panther is scared of the Hand? Damn right he should be! Good promo, gets the Hand's monstrous strength over. -Poor AJ. Poor Hoff, getting booked against his will. Gunner-Hoff should be good. -Hand vs. J-Dogg was a good squash. I like the finisher of just punching the crap out of the guy. -Crazy Vampire is cool. I want to see more of him, doing Crazy stuff. -Is Rick going to do whats right? I hope not. Evil is fun. -Zack has a point. Hoff would be a good Emperor of Death. -Who's spooking Hoff? I have no idea. He should have just beat up Phoenix some more. -Small and silly GPX-Hells Hitmen thang by me. I just like setting this up as J&S are all "ROAR! WE ARE EVIL AND WILL KILL YOU!" and GPX are just making dick jokes. -Go Synth! He almost scored. Kinda. -Who's stalking Mrs.Caboose? Wouldn't it be great if it was Michael Cole? -Damn good Drek-Calvin match. Drek really destroyed Calvin's leg there. I'd like to see a longer re-match some time. -Good to see RAS back. Hopefully they can get in on the tag title scene too soon. -Lodez vs Malibu was a great main event, and good to see the champ winning clean. Too often heel champs have to cheat to beat everyone. Tony149 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2004 Enjoyed the back-and-forth talk between Calvin & Derek. Not sure who wrote what, but both are two of the best writers the OAOAST has. Seeing two heels wrestle puts a smile to my face, since Black T is going against another heel team in NNMX. Short and sweet promo from Sly. Did a good job establishing he desire for Calvin...in a wanting to kick his ass kinda way, of course. My lovechild, the NNMX made their in-ring debut, and what a debut it was. Old-timers remember the original AAB, the gimmick wasn't a good idea back then (trust me, I'm the one who suggested it ) but it made for a nice little wink wink to the past. Damn anti-American fans. I'm sure our Chairman of the BOD didn't appreciate those punks abusing the first amendment. Went old school with Cornette demanding to see the referee's ring license, then getting ejected, setting up the fantastic retro beating backstage in NNMX locker room. I've only managed to skim through the rest, but I thought all the promos, especially between Synth & Alix, were great. Lisa, Northstar, whoever you are today, awesome awesome job handling The Saints.
