Hogan Interview

Here is the recap of Hulk Hogan's appearance tonight on FSN, with very interesting questions and answers:

Hogan comes out dressed in black, getting a huge reaction from the crowd.

He did his trademark poses and the audience went nuts as usual. Actor Michael Rappaport is one of the hosts and says how much he enjoyed watching Hogan growing up. They discuss Hogan being a lucky charm to the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team, leading them to the championships. Another host (who I think played for the team who lost) was saying that with Brooke Hogan singing the national anthem and Hogan rallying the crowd, beating Tampa would be futile.

Rappaport put Hogan over huge, saying Hulk IS pro wrestling and is he most recognizable figure past present or future.

Rappaport asked Hogan if there was a chance we could see him in the ring for a final farewell run. Hogan said never say never, and that it is likely to happen since Ted Turned is talking about starting up a new fed. This got the crowd really excited.

Hogan then told the story of how he beat down the Rock and ran him over with a semi, yet still the fans clamored to him as he faced the Rock at WM18 in Toronto. The camera then panned out to see The Rock in the audience, waving to everyone. Hulk then joked around and said he and The Rock are tight, though he did beat him and his daddy. The crowd laughed and cheered.

Another host asked about Hogan running for president, and he said it was all Turner and Bischoff's idea, going off a mock poll they conducted in GA and San Francisco. The poll asked who people would vote for: Hogan or Clinton, and Hogan won with 70% of the votes.

Then Hulk was asked what he thought of Vince McMahon. The hosts were all very critical of Vince, saying how wrong he is in disrespecting Hogan by not using him. Hulk replied by saying Vince was a great businessman, and that he would do business with him.

It was brought up how Vince is considering having Hogan at The Hall of Fame presentation at WM21, and Hogan said he hasn't heard anything from the WWE regarding it, but seemed open to doing it.

Next Hulk's daughter came out and talked about Hogan being over protective when guys come over to see her. Brooke joked on how tall she is wearing heels, and how people say she is as tall as her father. They discuss a spread she did for a magazine, and an offer from Playboy. Apparently when Playboy made the offer, they had no idea Brook is only 16!

It was a good segment, and Hogan come off very well and looked to be in incredible shape. He looked a lot more muscular than his last run in WWE.

Nice to see Hogan still sucking up to Vince after all this time.

I lost like 93% of my liking of Rappaport.

I lost all my respect for Jeremy Roenick (at least that's who I think it was) watching this interview. And Michael Rappaport.

Another host (who I think played for the team who lost) was saying that with Brooke Hogan singing the national anthem and Hogan rallying the crowd, beating Tampa would be futile.

how sad is it when he can't even give the spotlight up to his own fucking daughter?

Rappaport put Hogan over huge, saying Hulk IS pro wrestling and is he most recognizable figure past present or future.

Rappaport: "Smooch, Smooch...Hulkly, you want i should give you a reach-around while i'm back here?"

but in a way, he's right. Hogan is a vain, ego-maniacal, self-absorbed asshole, which more or less sums up 98% of the wrestling industry in a nut-shell.

Hogan then told the story of how he beat down the Rock and ran him over with a semi, yet still the fans clamored to him as he faced the Rock at WM18 in Toronto. The camera then panned out to see The Rock in the audience, waving to everyone. Hulk then joked around and said he and The Rock are tight, though he did beat him and his daddy. birds of a feather, etc. etc. take everything i said in the last line, and change "Hogan" for "The Rock".

Then Hulk was asked what he thought of Vince McMahon. The hosts were all very critical of Vince, saying how wrong he is in disrespecting Hogan by not using him. Hulk replied by saying Vince was a great businessman, and that he would do business with him.

Hogan: "Smooch, Smooch...Vinnie, you want i should give you a reach-around while i'm back here?"

It was brought up how Vince is considering having Hogan at The Hall of Fame presentation at WM21, and Hogan said he hasn't heard anything from the WWE regarding it, but seemed open to doing it.

of course he would...it'd be a ceremony about how great he is...he'd jump at it in a second.

Heffner is a complete idiot for wanting Brooke to be in playboy since she's (now I guess) 16.

Hogan helped the Lightning win the Stanley Cup. and the Buccaneers win Super Bowl XXXVII, and Florida Marlins win the 2003 World Series.

Hogan can do it all.

Why the fuck wouldn't you suck up to Vince? McMahon is dumb enough to reel in Hogan and give him millions to do basically shit all.

Hogan remains the second smartest man in the history of professional wrestling.

So in other words, you don't have a reason? You just thought you would be cool by bashing Rocky for no real reason, and would base it on unknown facts. What a quality poster you are.

thanks buddy, i enjoy your work as well.

want a reason, here's one: i don't like the Rock. i just plain don't like him. everytime i've seen him on anything, out of character mind you, he seemed, to me at least, to come off as an ego-centric prick. but hey, i could be wrong, i never met the man personally, for all i know Dwayne Johnson is the nicest man alive. it's just from what i've seen.

need more reasons? i also think he's a shitty wrestler, and his promos aren't funny at all. he's like the kid you know in school who thinks he's the class clown, but comes out with the lamest jokes this side of Bruce Valanche. oooo, Hurricane and Rosey are "Hamburgler" and "Grimace", that's a fuckin' riot. and the "People's Strudel" as a euphemism for his penis, oh bwa ha ha, stop it, my sides, they're splittin'.

need more? how about his shitty movies? the whole time i was watching "The Rundown", i kept thinking "Did Chris Walken lose a bet?" i heard after seeing "Walking Tall", Joe Don Baker dropped dead specifically so he could spin in his grave. how do you fuck up a remake of a JOE DON BAKER MOVIE?!?!? thank god i snuck into the theater, i'd have demanded my money back otherwise. he is not a quality actor, no matter how hard WWE tries to force it down my throat that he is.

hey, if you like him, great, more power to you. i don't. i don't begrudge you for your tastes. i just don't like the man.
