Styles 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2004 I really don't like Blaze Bailey and his vocals just never fit with Maiden at all. Anything with him working on it doesn't sound like something I'd get into to be honest. You misunderstood me (well, it was a very poorly constructed thought, so my fault). I meant Lee Ving's vocals (on the original MD 45 cd) sound a lot like Blaze Bayley to me. He's not actually on it. Sorry for the confusion!
Styles 0 Report post Posted July 24, 2004 Just as a heads up barnesandnoble.com has 30 seconds samples of every track for all the re-releases, if anybody wants a sneak peak at how their favorite Deth tune sounds...in the future!
Styles 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2004 Wow, 3 threads in a row by me. Just a heads up that the Re-issues are going to be released TODAY (Tuesday) and I will be buying them all later and will have thoughts up. I encourage all of you Droogies to do the same! Styles 0 Report post Posted July 27, 2004 Who are you calling a druggie? (Bitchslaps Slapnuts) Now quit post whoring If that was sarcasm, forgive me, but Droogie is what Dave Mustaine calls his fans. I guess I'll quit it since no one else seems interested to the Megadeth reissues (goes off to listen to them...)
Guest Anticrombie Report post Posted July 28, 2004 I bought the Megadeth remasters of Peace Sells... through Cryptic Writings. I'm listening to Peace Sells... right now. Also, forgive my ignorance, but why does Mr. Mustaine refer to his fans as droogies?

Guest Anticrombie Report post Posted July 28, 2004 Oh yeah...never would've guessed that I just finished listening to Peace Sells and SFSGSW. As I was listening to the bonus tracks on the Cds, I got to wishing that instead of demos and mixes of songs already on the CD that Dave would've given the bonus tracks a Cryptic Sounds treatment. I don't see the interest in alternate or demo versions of songs that are already available on the original track listing, especially in the case of SFSGSW where Dave readily admits that he and band did not like Paul Lani's mix of the songs off the album. Well, why put them on the album then? The thought of some of the songs off of Peace Sells or SFSGSW in intrumental form (maybe a little tinkering here and there for experimental purposes) leaves me feeling much more satisfied with the bonus tracks then what was put on the albums. He might as well have just left the album with the original track listing rather then put on 2 versions of a song where the other sounds almost just like the first. Styles 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2004 Just finished Peace Sells, but Im listening to So Far... and oh my god, I can't believe this is the same album. Just insane. In My Darkest Hour sounds so different, 502 sounds so great, there's TRUMPETS in Into The Lungs Of Hell.....ahhh Im gonna be up all night!
Guest Anticrombie Report post Posted July 28, 2004 So what are your thoughts on the bonus tracks? I found them redundant and unnecessary.
Styles 0 Report post Posted July 28, 2004 So what are your thoughts on the bonus tracks? I found them redundant and unnecessary. eh, it's better than nothing. They really didn't have much else to offer from the early days except alternate takes since they didn't have enough songs to cut out (basically they were so drugged out it's a miracle they were able to record the songs they did! ) The later albums have some bonus tracks. So blown away by SFSGSW, makes the album 100 times better and clearer. Listening to RIP right now, I know Prisoners has resung vocals, and there are rumors he resung 5 magics too so Im curious...Hangar 18 intro sounds amazing, what a makeover! Guest Anticrombie Report post Posted July 28, 2004 I know...it's just that the thought of some of those songs in instrumental form sounds so cool since that has always been Megadeth's strong selling point. I agree about the remastering on Into The Lungs Of Hell, the trumpets give it a more epic feel. SFSGSW IMO is criminally underrated when it comes to Megadeth's catalogue. Slickster 0 Report post Posted August 1, 2004 PM me if you want their new album.
Styles 0 Report post Posted August 2, 2004 PM me if you want their new album. Shame on you dude. No I don't want it, nor do I need to get it from you to hear it. It leaked a couple weeks ago and Mustaine was quite upset about it when posting on the 'Deth boards. The album will be avaliable legally in September, which is when he wants us to hear it, and I for one do not want it spoiled for me.
Guest Anticrombie Report post Posted August 2, 2004 PM me if you want their new album. How dare you? Man the cannons, men... Slapnuts, don't get angry about this. Maybe he just wants to know what to expect from the album when it is released. I downloaded all of Megadeth's albums before I bought them all (I'm picking up Killing... and TWNAH next week, still not sure about Risk).
