2GOLD 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2004 Miguel is the perfect fit in Baltimore. No one better could have been picked to fill that shortstop hole. When his deal gets down to two years, the O's better work their asses off to get him signed back on. Amazing performance, he shocked me. And damn, his pitcher helped him by picking up the pace on those pitches. That was actually a smart move.
The Czech Republic 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2004 Berman had that "I don't wanna be here" vibe for some reason. Well then where the hell does he WANT to be? What does he even DO? Geez, this is the guy that when he gets off his ass to call a game or host Sportscenter, ESPN hypes that over the game itself.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted July 13, 2004 I loved every single moment of it. Forget that the announcers were completely ignoring Tejada to blow Jeter and the Yankees with Reggie Jackson Well, if you don't count Joe Morgan calling Tejada the best shortstop in the league about eight times, sure. I was more referring to them letting Reggie hijack the broadcast with his "Jeter is a true gamer" blabber.... You mean how they let him hijack the broadcast while repeatedly reminding him (and getting him to admit) that Tejada is the better shortstop. I assume you're trying to make some kind of point, but it's getting lost in the usual anti-Yankee whining. Or, possibly, it is only the Yankee whining and there really is no legitimate point. God knows that never gets old. Its more annoyment with Reggie than anything Yankees. Its a pattern of his...... Reggie Jackson is (or was) the worst; a baseball game as broadcast by Reggie is essentially a test of "character," "determination," and "fortitude," these traits being revealed in how players play at critical moments of the game.
