PROMO: Business Planning

The camera suddenly opens up to an office. Sitting at a desk is Kelly Connelly, wearing a black business suit, holding a stack of papers in her hands.

 

"Good evening. I'm Kelly Connelly, representative of "The Icon" Max King...who was screwed out of the title shot that he so richly deserved. That will be addressed in a very near date...but at least this company was smart enough to realize that he still deserved a title shot despite that obvious cheating. That's not what I'm here to talk about though..."

 

Kelly pulls up non-televised footage from this past Smarkdown, where Kelly is in the ring with Natasha in a bra and panties match. "This past Smarkdown, in a match before the televised tapings, I was humiliated by being put in such a degrading match as a bra and panties match. Not only was I not ASKED to participate in such a contest, but I didn't find out about this until I arrived at the arena!"

 

Kelly stands up, slamming her hands on the desk. "Such actions are typical of the moronic, sexist owners of wrestling companies the world over. They treat women like nothing but objects, when we are SO much more than that. Well as a women with anger in her heart, I will not stand for this!"

 

Kelly holds up the papers she was looking at, all of them having the SWF logo on the top of them. "I have been looking through the legal documents of the Smarks Wrestling Federation, and I have found the names of all the stockholders in this company. With this information at hand, I will do what is right for this company...I will give it just what it so desperately needs."

 

Kelly now reaches into a drawer of the desk that she's sitting at, pulling out a thick wad of $100 bills. "I will BUY the stocks of SWF, and become this company's new owner!"

 

"Think about it people...you would have someone with business prowess beyond those of most people. Someone who would have enough decency not to subjugate women to such demeaning things as bra and panties matches. Someone who would treat every person on the roster with the respect that they so rightly deserve."

 

Kelly smiles to the camera. "Stock holders, take it into consideration. Think about the well-being of the wrestling world. Sell your stocks to me, Kelly Connelly...and I will take SWF to heights that it has never seen before."

 

Kelly smiles, sitting into the chair again, and kicking up her feet onto the desk as the camera fades out.

Well, it's certainly a way to to get some interesting going in the character. Should make for some good midcard shit and probably a fued.

 

Let's just hope Kelly's got the Billions of dollars the fed is worth. But who are the booking staff to blame if the TnA girls go in bra and panties matches, while the talented ladies becoming Hardcore, US and even ICTV champions.

And Chris, you may wish to talk to a few people as the stockholders and officers of the Board of Directors have been established in storyline for some time now.

 

For example, former active wrestlers such as myself, Mark Stevens, and the Hville Thugg either all currently or formerly held stock. I currently hold 25% of the stock and thus spend all my time on the board of directors. It certainly isn't because I was banned from programming after losing a match. Oh no. Last time I checked Mark held 12%, and Thugg owned 13%, with the remaining 50% was owned by our anonymous corporation (this was mostly to stop a new wave of stockholder/owner plotlines as the previous three years had been full of them). I think I am probably the most knowledgable person regarding the backstory of the finances of the fed, post Jayson Grant anyway.

 

Of course that is only if you're worried about internal continuity, which frankly has only rarely bothered any of us.

SK: Well, currently the plan is that Kelly is just going to act better than she really is, saying that she's perfect leader material...acting like the boss of the show whenever she's on camera.

 

That is, unless there's actually people that are going to sell to her. Then I'll start changing things up slightly for the more stock she buys.
