AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2004 I just picked up the classic Mega Man out of impulse. He looks quite cool despite that it isn't the highest quality figure. Unfortunately, they didn't have any others in the line. Has anyone seen X, Zero, Vile, Bass, Proto? Also, I don't think they're sold in stores at all, but has anyone actually gotten a hold of a Megas XLR figures? It's a kick ass show on Cartoon Network--which started as a short called Lowbrow. The same peeps who did an animated TV show on MTV called Downtown worked on this one. It has a giant robot, lots of destruction, and Bruce Campbell guest starred on it. Am I and a bud of mine the only fans of this show? I wanted to know if anyone ordered the figure and can tell me how the quality is.
Guest Salacious Crumb Report post Posted July 18, 2004 I saw those MegaMan figures at Gamestop last week. Are they those imports you used to be able to buy in the back of gaming magazines?

AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2004 I saw those MegaMan figures at Gamestop last week. Are they those imports you used to be able to buy in the back of gaming magazines? They're made by Jazwares and are listed as coming out in 2003. They have a 15th Anniversary logo on it. So if they're the same, it is at least new packaging. Ordered two Megas figures--one for me, one for a friend.
Vyce 0 Report post Posted July 19, 2004 I've seen a couple episodes of Megas XLR. Not a bad show - they thankfully keep things tongue in cheek. I was fortunate enough to catch the Bruce Campbell episode. He was, as is typical for him, completely awesome.

"I'm getting digits from green-skinned girls! GREEN-SKINNED GIRLS!!!!" Mick Foley was in the original short that started the show--however, he bitched and complained about how hard voice acting was when asked about it at my college. I work at a KB Toys, and we have all of them, including the next series which is basically repaints of those, and Quick Man~!

Also, I picked up another one that had Beat and a shooting arm cannon--it shows there are way more than just those six, not surprisingly. However, my KB just has the Mega Man classic figures. Not even an X!
Vyce 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2004 Bumped, for the simple reason that after seeing yesterday's Megas XLR episode - a complete parody of Voltron & Battle of the Planets - my opinion of this show has gone up a few notches.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2004 Megas XLR has inspired me to try to combine my old robot toys into new ones. Or better yet take apart the GI Joes and put different heads on different bodies.
AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted July 25, 2004 Yeah, one of my favorites. Mmmm...Duchess. Forgot to reply that I got the Megas figure. Nice detail, stands up well, but it's too small, not moveable enough, and has no compartments or other goodies. Oh well, gotta hope that it does really well and they release a bigger and better one. The top of the car's hood that acts as the head is about an inch shorter than my Mega Man figure, so ya know.
