Guest croweater Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 Teddy Long would be a breath of fresh air to the role. I have a problem with them changing GM's so often though. If you have to have one at least allow them to develope a character.
Use Your Illusion Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 This SD! GM role swapping is becoming fucking ridiculous. As fun as Teddy Long is, another round of Corrupt General Manager/Booker/Owner is really not all that exciting. Shame Big Show isn't back soon, SD! needs the star power. UYI
Aero Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 I actually didn't mind it when Stephanie was the face GM, until about spring 2003 when the whole Zach Gowen-Vince storyline started. I wouldn't mind seeing either Shane or Stephanie back as face GMs. It's better than the usual evil GM.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 They should just give up on the GM being a serious heel type and go with Dusty Rhodes. He would serve no purpose what so ever, but his segments genuinely would add a very entertaining 20 minutes. If need be, he and JR can have political debates as well. What was Michaels' deal again? I remember he had I think an achilles injury, but I have a vague memory of it just being personal business too.
Guest tangerine Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 he has an injury to his acl and he had his second child or is expecting his second child as well.
Dark Age Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 No way I see Christian and Shelton back for Slam.
EricMM Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 SD! doesn't need a fucking heel GM anymore. The gimmick is soooo tired. argh...
Enigma Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 Paul Heyman should have never been removed from the SD! GM spot in the first place.
Guest Mr. Wrestling Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 Actually Shawn Michaels would make a good Smackdown General Manager. He would add the star power plus could be impartial and if need be he could wrestle. I'd like to see an authority figure that doesn't hide behind a desk and get others to do his bidding. Someone has a problem with Shawn, he books them in a match with HIMSELF. At least you'd have someone that can't be intimidated.
Dark Age Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 Do we have an explanation for why Heyman is even allowed on SmackDown! anymore?
Just call me Dan Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 Those two should never step into the ring again in a match together.
Guest tangerine Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 Do we have an explanation for why Heyman is even allowed on SmackDown! anymore? I assume Angle simply rehired him because I dunno. Just because.
Dark Age Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 And another thing, whatever happened to that hand popping out of the grave? That sure went places, huh?
Guest TigerDriver91 Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 And another thing, whatever happened to that hand popping out of the grave? That sure went places, huh? Shhh. We are not allowed to remember that anymore.
Dark Age Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 And what happened to the Paul Heyman/Taker feud? Where the hell is the urn?
Gert T Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 Everything involving the Undertaker from Wrestlemania up until last Thursday has been stricken from the records.
Guest tangerine Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 I thought Heyman gave the urn back and taker said to fuck off or something.
Dark Age Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 And who pulled the briefcase up in the ladder match between Austin and the McMahons? Don't say Bossman.
Twisted Intestine Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 And what happened to the Paul Heyman/Taker feud? Where the hell is the urn? I don't know, because I didn't watch the PPV nor read about it.. because it looked so shitty.. But.. Didn't Taker no sell the dudleys, thus defying Heyman and killing Bearer? If that is how the story went, then I think by doing that he showed that Heyman, Bearer, nor the Urn have any power over him anymore. But.. maybe that didn't happen at all. All I heard is he "Killed" bearer.
Dark Age Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 And speaking of which: Why DID Vince McMahon allign himself with Triple H? I mean, apart from the usual "blood is thicker than water" crap?
