Guest Glenn Can't Take A Hint Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 I found this over at pwinsider.com and hasn't seen it posted here.....!! ******************************************************************** World Wrestling Entertainment is set to release a special replica of The Million Dollar Belt used in the early and mid-1990s by the company. The replica will have a limited edition run of 400 pieces molded from the original WWF belt. 1,028 faux diamonds were used to recreate the piece. The Million Dollar Belt was created by Ted DiBiase during a storyline after he failed to win and later purchase the WWF championship. He lost the title to former lackey Virgil, only to later regain it. During Steve Austin's initial run as The Ringmaster, he was named DiBiase's Million Dollar Champion and also wore the belt. Limited quantities of the belt, which will be released in November, will be carried by the PWInsider.com Online Store. The belt is available for pre-order now, which is highly recommended due to the low quantity available. link; to picture; http://www.highspots.com/affiliatewiz/affi...ck&ItemID=11857
Guest JohnnySwift Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 Being the belt mark I am, I'd buy that if they made a non deluxe replica of it. That's the last belt I ever thought I'd see made, are there any other popular belts that haven't been mass produced yet?

How about the WCW 92 world belt that was used for a little while when Flair took the Big Gold to the WWF?
Guest Quik Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 How 'bout the cruiserweight title? That's a relatively obscure belt that we rarely see.
alfdogg Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 Pick up about any wrestling magazine at the grocery, Wal-Mart, etc., and there's a page with all the old WCW belts for sale.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted July 25, 2004 Report Posted July 25, 2004 I had forgotten just how ugly this title was. A good idea, but the belt was not produced well at all. Should have had a large globe with fake diamonds as the continents and then a small dollar sign in the middle made of fake emeralds.
EdwardKnoxII Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 How about the WCW 92 world belt that was used for a little while when Flair took the Big Gold to the WWF? I never really liked that one. It looked like a poor man's verison of the WWF Eagle belt.
ChrisMWaters Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 I'd love to buy that belt...bring it to a Smackdown and taunt JBL with it. THat is, if I'm close enough to the ring to do so.
dubq Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 Fuck me, that's ugly, but nostalgia rules over me - SO I WANT IT!!
Guest bigm350 Posted July 26, 2004 Report Posted July 26, 2004 I've always thought the Million Dollar Belt was ugly. I wouldn't buy a replica of it. To each their own though, I guess.
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 DiBiase still owns the original doesn't he? Anyways I love this belt.
Guest Franchise Rper 4 Life Posted July 27, 2004 Report Posted July 27, 2004 It's not worth the $399 price tag but I'd get it
Guest bigm350 Posted July 29, 2004 Report Posted July 29, 2004 DiBiase still owns the original doesn't he? Anyways I love this belt. Nah, I think Vince has it around Titan Towers somewhere gathering up dust.
ChrisMWaters Posted July 29, 2004 Report Posted July 29, 2004 And remember, at one time Virgil had that belt! ...course he stole it, but he still had it. (Heenanisms, gotta love them. ^^)
Corey_Lazarus Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 I think the coolest looking belt to never get a replica made of it has to be the WCW Cruiserweight Tag Team title belts. If you can find pictures of it, just admire them. So simplistic, yet so cool. Also, anybody remember the American Gladiators rip-off show Battle Dome? The Battle Dome Championship was pretty cool looking, too.

Plus I'd have to say I doubt they'd make replicas for belts used for less than 6 months. It would be cool though.

They were made by the WCW crew and an Atlanta trophy shop, but they weren't made of other belts.

ChrisMWaters Posted July 31, 2004 Report Posted July 31, 2004 One interesting feature about the Million Dollar Championship that I just noticed... You can NEVER wear that belt upside-down!
Guest JohnnySwift Posted August 1, 2004 Report Posted August 1, 2004 They should make that the other big selling point for the belt.
The C Man Posted August 1, 2004 Report Posted August 1, 2004 In sure Vince has it in Titan Towers. Isn't it worth 100k or something?
ChrisMWaters Posted August 2, 2004 Report Posted August 2, 2004 In sure Vince has it in Titan Towers. Isn't it worth 100k or something? No, it's worth a million dollars! That's why it's the MILLION DOLLAR CHAMPIONSHIP! (kidding, I had to say that.)
