Guest CronoT Posted July 29, 2004 Report Posted July 29, 2004 TWO TITLES ON THE LINE July 29, 2004 Over the past few weeks, Paul London and Billy Kidman have proved why they currently sit atop the tag team mountain. This week, however, their mountain my come crumbling down, as they prepare to put their WWE Tag Team Championship on the line against the most decorated tag team in the history of sports entertainment, the Dudleys. Can London and Kidman fend off Bubba Ray and D-Von? Tune in to SmackDown! on UPN to find out. In other action, the Cruiserweight Championship will be on the line, as the high-flying Rey Mysterio battles the runt of the Dudley litter, Spike. As if the two title defenses aren't enough to possibly shake the SmackDown! foundation, Mr. McMahon will announce a new General Manager this Thursday night. Who does McMahon think has what it takes to run the ship? How will that person do in his or her first night of power? All this and much more this Thursday night (8/7 CT) when UPN presents SmackDown! No one else was doing it, so I did it.
ChrisMWaters Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 And thus we begin... with a recap of last week.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Smackdown? Smack... oh yeah wait that OTHER show that's right I forgot. Wait, it's still on? /Vince McMahon
ChrisMWaters Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Man, I love Vinnie Mac Hopefully just as a respect thing... I don't think Vince swings that way.
ChrisMWaters Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Booker T looks pretty good with the United States Championship
ChrisMWaters Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Smackdown? Smack... oh yeah wait that OTHER show that's right I forgot. Wait, it's still on? /Vince McMahon Heh...yet Vince was on last week's Smackdown and apparently will be on this week's as well.
Mrnoitaull Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 totally a respect thing and yeah The Book does look fitting for the US Champ.
ChrisMWaters Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Kenzo should go full blown with the respecting America thing, ala the Fabulous Rougeau Brothers. Hell, use the song "Living In America" by James Brown
Mrnoitaull Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Kenzo really doesn't think he's deserving the US Champion, does he?
Conspiracy_Victim Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Smackdown? Smack... oh yeah wait that OTHER show that's right I forgot. Wait, it's still on? /Vince McMahon Heh...yet Vince was on last week's Smackdown and apparently will be on this week's as well. Yeah I know. I can't figure it out either. I'm waiting for Book to make a reference to the feud he had with Edge over the Japanese shampoo commercial back in the day.
ChrisMWaters Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 It's Horshit! Er, Horshu/Luther Reigns. The second most famous French wrestler ever! (First being Andre)
Conspiracy_Victim Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Hey Rene where's Fifi, and what color is she this week? Billy just go away. No one thinks you deserve to be US Champ.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Crazy old man walk! You go Vinnie Mac!
ChrisMWaters Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Hey...does that mean Teddy is the...LONG arm of the Law? ...sorry, had to say that.
Exslade ZX Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Question..is it just me, or is the sound production quality of SD really low tonight? I don't know if it's the channel or not, but it sounds like the mic is kind of low and has an echo..and stuff or something, but it's not like that for anything else I'm watching.

Seemed all right to me...
Guest PlatinumBoy Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Love matches were Rey is the bigger, stronger one physically.
ChrisMWaters Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 ...I wish they'd put Spike back into his ECW attire. Or at least give him SOME type of top.
Guest PlatinumBoy Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 The problem with Spike vs Rey is Spike beats heavyweights with his unique offense and speed, but Rey has the better moveset and is faster. I guess one could claim Spike is tougher......? Greatest cruiserweights in the world compete on Thursday nights, eh Cole? Geez.
ChrisMWaters Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Greatest cruiserweights in the world compete on Thursday nights, eh Cole? Geez. Hey, he's got to do something to get an increase in his paycheck.
AlaskanHero Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Could someone please tell me the last time someone has done a moonsault? And I mean a real, jump-off-the-top moonsault. Not one of those split-legged ones. Edit-Nevermind, I'll accept that springboard one.

Conspiracy_Victim Posted July 30, 2004 Report Posted July 30, 2004 Spike is keeping up a helluva lot better than I thought he would.
