theintensifier 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2004 I've been hearing great things about TEW, as I'm getting sick of EWR 4.2. So, is it worth the $35 they are asking for?
Placebo Effect 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2004 I've been hearing great things about TEW, as I'm getting sick of EWR 4.2. So, is it worth the $35 they are asking for? Download the trial along with a RaveX pack and play it for the 24 or 36 hours they allow you. I'd say it was sort of worth it.
theintensifier 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2004 Yeah, I did, but I couldn't really get that good of a feeling from it. Just wanted to get an opinion from someone who owns it. Thanks though!
Guest Big_Jay101 Report post Posted August 3, 2004 Think about it this way, it is a simulation text based game for $35.00, or you can get a game like NFL2K5 for $20.00 which you can actually play games and has several feautres of a sim. THen youc an say the same you can pay $15 more for Madden and play actual games, and alot of simulation type stuff. So when thinking about it I say no. Guest JebusNassedar Report post Posted August 3, 2004 I prefer to look at it like the Pro Wrestling version of Steel Battalion. More expensive than you'd hope, and incredibly deep, but once you get a grasp on what you're doing, it'll eat your time alive.
Hawkius Maximus 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2004 TEW is very much worth the money. It murders EWR quite badly. The game has some flaws from my point of view, but I keep coming back to it...and I don't even use the real guys. I love the Original Data with the fictional guys. It's made to give you a challenge unlike the real life updates. You could wait around for TEW 2005, but really we don't know when that's coming and it hasn't even been started on yet, but Ryland has said he has figured better ways to work his code...so who knows. I say get it, but then I've always been into simulators.
Guest The Notorious CRD Report post Posted August 4, 2004 If you're looking for the deepest wrestling sim EVER... then get TEW.
jesse_ewiak 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 Yeah, if you want to just mess around and book The Big Boss Man and Kamala to feud over the WWE Title, then keep EWR. If you want an insanely detailed sim, go with TEW. In my opinion, it's only a step or three below CM, which is the gold standard for sims.
