NoCalMike Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 Shaun of the Dead infects America....... I can't wait till this hits the local arthouse......
Vanhalen Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 I am amazed this has found an audience in America, but I'm fucking chuffed about it
Dace59 Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 Me too, but hey as long as someone enjoys it, it's all good.
dubq Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 Yep, they played this trailer before The Village up here in TO.
Downhome Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 Is there a way to download it WITHOUT getting infected with the adware shit? If any of you have it, could you send it to me on AIM or something?
dubq Posted August 3, 2004 Report Posted August 3, 2004 It's essentially the same as the UK trailer, but with an American announcer doing the voiceover.
Guest evenflowDDT Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 And my continued bewilderment at the Shaun of the Dead phenomenon continues. The bit about trying to pick which records to sling looks gold, but the rest? Slapstick, a genre which has been well covered by the Evil Dead films. And the concept? Total rip-off of Bio Zombie. Tsk tsk...

Tsk tsk... Yeah, because lord knows that that's the sign of a shitty movie - borrowing concepts. *gaps* The horror!

Tsk tsk... Yeah, because lord knows that that's the sign of a shitty movie - borrowing concepts. *gaps* The horror! If it doesn't have a zombie fighting a shark, I'm not in. That was the last original moment in zombie history...well, that and D'Amato's "hard-gore porn". Everything since? Fuckit! Including "look I'm so clever I can title my movie so it rhymes like a famous one" Shaun of the Dead. I can imagine their sequel...Ray of the Dead. Or how about Mand of the Dead. Get it, because it stars MANDY MOORE?!
dubq Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 YES!! Just got my Region 2 copy! It's gonna be sweet zombie goodness tonight, baby!
Vyce Posted September 20, 2004 Report Posted September 20, 2004 I am amazed this has found an audience in America, but I'm fucking chuffed about it I'm guessing in limey-speak that means you're excited?
PLAGIARISM! Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 There is so much more to Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg's writing and delivery than slapstick.

"Shaun of the Dead 2: From Dusk till Shaun" It's mentioned on one the audio commentries on the DVD.

Well, apparently Si, according to Evenflow.. no movie concept or genre should ever be used twice. And nevermind coming up with a comedic movie title for a comedy movie.. that's just wrong.
