Vanhalen 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2004 Might as well start one of these, given that the olympics is only 9 days away, any sports you are looking forward too? Medal hopes etc? Think we will see another Kurt Angle?
Agent_Bond34 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2004 I'm mostly looking forward to the basketball, and the soccer (or football for some) Should be interesting to see how this US basketball team ends up doing, after all the changes it has gone through over the last few months. Markme123 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2004 Holy shit 9 days! I forgot all about it. I'm going to try to actually watch the Summer Olympics seeing as I didn't watch the Sydney Games. The 1996 I remeber liking and the 2002 Winter one Iactaully enjoyed. I got to be honest, though, I'm not really excited about anything (all the events are pretty good), except for the gymnastics portion. The balance beam, eneven bars, vault, pommel horse, parallel bars. It's all good. I'm not the only one am I?
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2004 Ok guys. We are NOT having a single thread to cover a two day sporting event.

the max 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2004 Is anyone else not really caring about the Olympics? I mean, the only summer sport that I care about is baseball, and with all the amateur guys, I'm not really compelled to watch it. Winter is a different story, but I never got that pumped for the start of the Summer Olympics.
treble 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2004 I'm looking forward to the baseball tournament, since it seems like Canada has a chance to medal this year, even without Justin Morneau. I'll probably watch something most days when I get a chance, too, even though I don't get up for the Summer games like I do like the Winter ones like Max. Hogan Made Wrestling 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2004 The only events I really care about are the cycling competitions. I am midly interested in the basketball, and don't really care about anything else.
Art Sandusky 0 Report post Posted August 3, 2004 I'm all about watching some Track and Field, especially the Decathalon. It's just such a supreme contest to determine who the greatest actual athlete in the world is, the one who excels in not just one, but TEN events. I also like Diving a lot. I felt bad for not watching the Sydney games after watching the Atlanta games round the clock, but I'll watch me some Athens games fo sho. I LOVE the Olympics. Guest Smues Report post Posted August 3, 2004 I watched as much as I could have of 92 and 96, but 2000 was just goofy being in October so I didn't see as much. I'll probably watch all I can of these games. I watched some thing on ESPN the other night about a member of the US swim team who got in a car wreck which killed two people and she's going to jail after the olympics for it, so I'll watch and see if she wins. Guest CurryMan Report post Posted August 3, 2004 I will probebly have the tv on for the olympics in the background but nothing is really there to have me clinched to it. Perhaps one of the few medal hopes for Sweden will make me pay attention to it.
Vanhalen 0 Report post Posted August 4, 2004 Ok guys. We are NOT having a single thread to cover a two day sporting event. WTF, are you retarded or something? When the hell has the Olympics ever been 2 days?
