Monty Brown is awesome and if TNA was wise, they would make it a three way dance and let him grab the title with a new secondary finisher.

Monty is a great interview, he is developing faster than I thought possible and he obviously brings a lot of energy to the scene. Plus he's a much better option than Jeff Hardy.

Course, I doubt anyone will agree with me on that.

Better than Hardy? Yes. Ready for the title? NO way.

Now, I admit......Monty has potential that if he is handled right......he one day could be a big deal. Honestly though.........he doesn't belong ANYWHERE near the title though.

I just hope Brown is sorta out of gimmick and being himself on "Best Damn Sports Show". As in not like he was on the 6 points of impact where he mainly had to answer questions in his gimmick.

So...the generic hoss that TNA just started pushing a couple months ago is getting the national television interview, whereas the second legitimate superstar of TNA (with Truth being the first) and former two-time NWA World Heavyweight champion AJ Styles gets a local channel...

Unless this was just by their own choosing (as in AJ decided to take the Atlanta station), I'm in awe of why they'd send a rookie when a veteran that is waaaaaay more over (and also not likely to cast the stigma that all wrestlers are roided up dumbasses who growl during interviews) is right there.

But LAZ he played FOOTBALL!!!!! He's the greatest wrestler of all time.

Well the football thing and the simple fact Monty is involved in the TNA title situation while AJ just isn't.

Plus it may be a case of AJ not being able to get to the BEST taping, perhaps due to a prior commit and the only thing he could do was a local channel interview in the city he is in.

Oh come on guys. It's a positive that they get anyone on a mainstream show. Maybe the show didn't want AJ. EVERYTHING doesn't have to suck, and EVERYTHING isn't TNA's fault.

The only thing that's really in Monty Brown's way is the fact that he's a very limited and inexperienced worker, and at this point it's decidedly unclear whether he'll ever develop into a good worker.

But as far as everything else goes, I do think he has the potential to be a star. He's got some good charisma, he's good on the mike, he's got a good look. Face it, folks, if this guy was even a moderately good worker, you'd be gleefully taking his jiz on your faces.

Uh, not me pal.

And the good thing is, 90% of the people who see him on the talk show will not know his workrate. If he is engaging, they might decide to watch.

Haaah, good one. *points thumb downward and simultaneously makes fart noise with mouth*

Hey, Swiggy got married Saturday, he's got more important things to do with his liquids.

So...did anyone watch yet where it already aired? Currently watching and 30 min in, no mention of Monte Brown.

Edit: Oh, there he is.

Well, they talked about what we expected, a bit of football, a bit of Lesnar. Transitions from wrestling to the NFL and vice versa. Overall, it was a cool showing for Brown. He picked up a very large football guy...dunno who though. Showed lots of POOOOOUUUUUUUUUNCES too on the highlights.
