Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 Julian McMahon of NIP/TUCK has been tapped for Victor Von Doom in The Fantastic Four.
2GOLD Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 So far, I like the casting. Mostly just unknown solid actors. Yes, they are known to the tv world but they are mostly a cast of talent rather than name. Alba is the biggest name on the list. I like they are going this direction.
BlackFlagg Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 Interesting...where'd ya get this bit of info?
2GOLD Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 Interesting...where'd ya get this bit of info? Was being reported in Variety and appeared on the Scifi wire.
Guest TheAustralian Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 This Australian loves to see the son of an Australian prime minister hitting the big time.
Adam Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 The Fuck? Who was he the son of? Im sure Bob Hawke didnt look like that in his younger days.
Vyce Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 This is.....odd casting to me. Not that I don’t like Julian – he’s fucking awesome on Nip / Tuck. But I just never really pictured him as Doom before. Here’s hoping that if he does get the part, he plays Doom with all diligent malevolence, rather than just making Viktor a ham.
LaParkaYourCar Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 According to IMDB he's the Son of 'Sir William McMahon', Prime Minister of Australia (1971).
Guest JMA Posted August 4, 2004 Report Posted August 4, 2004 I think Julian McMahon is a great actor with a lot of charisma. He could be a great Dr. Doom. It's funny that two stars (Julian McMahon and Michael Chiklis) from two hit FX shows (Nip/Tuck and The Shield) are in the same movie together. I suppose it's because FOX owns the network and is making the movie. Anyway, good call by the people working on the movie.
Anakin Flair Posted August 5, 2004 Report Posted August 5, 2004 Julian can play a good evil character. his work on Charmed was excellent, and one of the only reasons I continued to watch that show once McGowan replaced Shannon D.
