Austin took three piledrivers. Did one of them injure them like in real life?

He wasn't injured in reality. Although, we may have him be injured in kayfabe.

BTW, I'm willing to assist with or even write the Raw results, if you guys don't have enough time.

We certainly are interested in getting someone to help with Raw results. I know hitman has e-mailed you about this, but he hasn't gotten any responses back. Have you gotten them?

After talking with JMA and Hitman, it looks like I'll be doing the writing for the Raw television shows, which is pretty cool.

Hopefully we can give more detail and insight on the storylines.

But know this-- I'll never book a Diva Search.

In Your House: Ground Zero

Louisville, Kentucky

September 7, 1997

- Hunter Hearst Helmsley pinned Mankind (15:44) after Chyna interfered in the match. *** ¼

(These two men battled to a double disqualification at SummerSlam. This is a rematch.)

- The Patriot pinned Owen Hart (10:33) after Patriot applied a full nelson and turned it into a slam. ***

(The Patriot entered the WWF in early-August and was immediately enraged by the actions of The Hart Foundation. The night after SummerSlam, Owen came out to challenge Steve Austin to a WWF Intercontinental title in a rematch from the previous night. Austin came out to accept the challenge. However, new WWF Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter, wouldn’t allow Austin to wrestle. He then stated that Owen would be facing a mystery opponent later in the night. The Patriot was that opponent. In the match, Patriot had the upper hand the entire match until Owen became extremely frustrated and was counted out. This is the rematch.)

- Ken Shamrock defeated WWF Television Champion Davey Boy Smith (9:21) by disqualification. **

(Shamrock scored a victory over Davey Boy in a tag match on Raw is War to earn a title shot here.)

- Taz defeated Al Snow by submission (8:35) after applying the "Tazmission" in an “ECW” match. ***

- Ron Simmons, The Rock, D’Lo Brown & Kama Mustafa defeated Crush, Chainz, Skull & 8-Ball (10:41) when Rock pinned Chainz. *¾

(Crush was fired from the Nation of Domination the night after the last In Your House PPV. Ron Simmons then announced that he was forming an all new Nation. This one included D’Lo Brown, Kama Mustafa & Rocky Maivia, now being called The Rock. A few weeks later, Crush came out during a Nation interview. He was accompanied by several other men with him. He said that they were calling themselves The Disciples of Apocalypse. A big brawl then erupted between all the men.)

- Brian Pillman pinned Goldust (9:39) after ramming the head of Goldust into an exposed turnbuckle. ** ½ After the match, Steve Austin came out and attacked Pillman.

(This match was made to determine a #1 contender to Steve Austin’s WWF Intercontinental Championship.)

- WWF Champion Bret Hart defeated Psycho Sid (13:28) by submission to the “Sharpshooter.” ** ¾

(The week before SummerSlam, Bret Hart squared off against Sid on Raw. During the course of the match, the referee was knocked unconscious. Shawn Michaels, who was doing commentary at ringside for the match, jumped up on the ring apron to distract the Hitman. As this was going, the referee was regaining consciousness. As Bret was arguing with Michaels, Sid came up from behind him and then delivered a chokeslam and scored the victory. The week after Bret regained the WWF title, Sid was named the #1 contender since he had just scored a pinfall victory over Bret.)

- The Undertaker fought Shawn Michaels to a no contest at 20:38. ****

(At SummerSlam, Shawn Michaels was the special referee for the WWF title match with Bret Hart challenging The Undertaker. In that match, Michaels “accidentally” cost Taker the match by hitting him over the head with a steel chair. The following week on Raw is War, Vince McMahon interviewed the Heartbreak Kid about what happened. In that interview, Michaels refused to take responsibility for his actions in that match. The following week on Raw, Michaels, along with Hunter Hearst Helmsley & Chyna, attacked Undertaker and left him a bloody mess in the middle of the ring.)

WWF Raw is War

September 8, 1997

Cincinatti, OH

The Hart Foundation entered the arena. Bret told the American fans that they couldn't find a wrestler good enough to unseat him as WWF Champion. Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter intervened and told him he knew two wrestlers who would like to contest that. He brought out The Patriot and Ken Shamrock and announced  a number one contendership triple threat match (also involving The British Bulldog). A staredown ensued.

Backstage, Triple H said after the events of the previous night, that Shawn Michaels would not be attending Raw that evening. Instead, Triple H offered to fight the Undertaker if he was looking for a fight.

Road Warrior Animal pinned Crush (3:02) after a powerslam.

Mankind brooded over his loss to Triple H the previous night.

Jerry Lawler mentioned that he never wanted to hear the letters "ECW" ever, ever again.

Mankind defeated Big Van Vader (9:51) by submission to the Mandible Claw. Sgt. Slaughter came out and told Mankind that he had been convinced that Mankind deserves a rematch with Triple H. He said it would happen in two weeks, at Madison Square Garden. And it would be a streetfight.

The Nation of Domination came to the ring. Ron Simmons hyped The Rock as being the future of the Nation, and the WWF. Ahmed Johnson appeared and cut an unintelligible interview. The point was made that Ahmed Johnson is taking The Rock, and the Nation, out.

Intercontinental Champion Steve Austin did an in-ring promo. He said that he pinned Brian Pillman at WrestleMania XIII and it's going to happen again now that Pillman is the number one contender. Austin goaded Brian Pillman to come to the ring. Pillman came out and began to do so, but stopped in the aisleway. Pillman asked Austin about his neck. Austin didn't directly comment on his neck, but said nothing stopped him from "whooping (his) ass" the previous night at Ground Zero. Pillman asked if he needed to come in there and make it worse. Austin told Pillman to get into the damn ring, which he did. After Austin dominated a short brawl, Owen Hart ran into the ring. The double team was too much, and Steve Austin eventually took a dangerous spike piledriver from the two. The injured Austin was helped to the back by referees.

A pre-taped promo from Paul Bearer aired, warning the Undertaker of his brother Kane's return.

Undertaker and Triple H wrestled to a no-contest (1:40) when Shawn Michaels ran in. Undertaker saw right through their plan and attacked Michaels as he attempted a sneak attack. Undertaker dominated the brawl, and Chyna and Triple H had to pull Michaels out and carry him to the back.

Backstage, Ken Shamrock warned The Patriot to get out of his way.

Meanwhile, Bret Hart pumped Bulldog up for the number one contendership main event. Bulldog told Bret that it would be an honor to face his Hart Foundation leader at Bad Blood.

Ken Shamrock defeated WWF Television Champion Davey Boy Smith and The Patriot (8:39) in a non-title three-way dance after Patriot went after Bret and Owen on the outside allowing Shamrock to hit a belly to belly suplex on Bulldog in the ring. This victory earned Shamrock a World Championship match at Badd Blood. Owen and Patriot had to be seperated by the officials. Bret Hart attacked Shamrock after the match, but Shamrock broke the Sharpshooter and chased his attacker off.

WWF Raw is War

September 15, 1997

Muncie, IN

Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter walked to the ring. He said the Undertaker/Shawn Michaels feud needs to end, and soon. Slaughter announced that at the next In Your House pay-per-view, Badd Blood, Michaels and The Undertaker will have a one-on-one fight, with the reward being a WWF World Title shot at Survivor Series. The stipulation for this match, decided on by the board of directors, will be named next week on Raw is War. At Badd Blood, there will be a winner.. the one who survives Hell.

Shawn Michaels cut a profanity-laced promo backstage.

Owen Hart defeated The Patriot (13:22) with a roll-up and his feet on the ropes. Patriot argued with the referee after the bell and Davey Boy and Neidhart jumped him from behind. The Road Warriors made the save.

Highlights were shown of the attack on Steve Austin the previous week. Vince McMahon commented that he knew Steve Austin was watching at home, and he asked kindly that Steve Austin remain at home until further notice and to mail the belt back to Titan Towers.

Taka Michinoku pinned Pantera (5:36) after a Michinoku Driver.

Backstage, Ron Simmons told the Nation that he would make short work of the Undertaker tonight to send a message to Ahmed.

A pre-taped promo from Paul Bearer aired, once again warning the Undertaker of his brother Kane's return.

Backstage, Triple H was asked what his thoughts were before going in to the street fight at MSG. Triple H stated that Mankind wasn't a concern at the moment, and that Undertaker was D-Generation X's number one priority. He also mentioned the unfair "dictatorship" of Sgt. Slaughter.

Brian Pillman pinned 2 Cold Scorpio (4:14) using the Stone Cold Stunner.

Bret Hart came to the ring and ran down Ken Shamrock. Shamrock then came to the ring to prove he was the "World's Most Dangerous Man". The two exchanged holds before Bret was put in the Ankle Lock. The Hart Foundation came down to the ring to break it, but the damage had already been done.

The Undertaker defeated Ron Simmons (3:12) with a Tombstone Piledriver. Before the match, Simmons was roughed up by Ahmed Johnson. Following the match, Triple H and Shawn Michaels attacked the Undertaker. Mankind made the save.

Coming up next, One Night Only.

Yay Bulldog!!

I'm interested to see what your directions are going to be for people like Vader/Pillman/Ahmed etc who for various reasons were not around for much longer than you've already booked, are you going to keep them in the company or follow the original trends- ie it would be nice not to kill off Pillman at the next ppv and actually keep him around?

[ie it would be nice not to kill off Pillman at the next ppv and actually keep him around?]

I Agree Pillman is getting a nice push at the moment be a shame if he disappered.

Ahmed looks like he will continue with his never ending feud with The Nation.

Vader I have no Idea - he is pretty much being jobbed out at the moment.

Now we finally have Raw up and running with Results - I was wondering would you guys be interested if I started to post the Shotgun Saturday results (or whatever the B Show was around this time) Again it would be cool to see how the lower to Mid Card are getting on with win losses???

PM me or Mail me if you are interested - [email protected]

WWF Raw is War

September 22, 1997

New York, NY

To open the show, Vince McMahon announced Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker at Badd Blood would be a "Hell in a Cell" match. He went over the specifications for the match, and announced that later tonight Dok Hendrix would tour the Cell.

Backstage, Mankind talked to Dok Hendrix about what an honor it was to wrestle at MSG. During the interview, he was attacked by D-Generation X and thrown through a window.

The Rock led the Nation of Domination (minus Ron Simmons) to the ring. The Rock said that he was in charge after The Undertaker injured Simmons last week. The Rock challenged Ahmed Johnson to a one-on one-contest. Ahmed came out, but no match ever got started as the Nation beat down Johnson and then did the salute.

Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith defeated the Headbangers (5:03) when Owen made Headbanger Mosh submit to the Sharpshooter. The Road Warriors watched from backstage.

In a pre-taped promo, Paul Heyman mentioned that ECW would attend Badd Blood.

The glass shattered and Steve Austin made his return to Raw after two weeks, carrying his belt with him. Steve Austin told Brian Pillman that he could either meet him in the ring, with or without the Hart Foundation. His other option was that Austin would bring his weapon (the belt) backstage and get his revenge. The impatient Austin began to head backstage until several New York police officers came from behind the curtain and headed in his direction. Stone Cold began threatening the officers until Vince McMahon came into the ring. Vince said Brian Pillman wasn't in the building, he was "tending to other business". Vince said he called for the security officers to await Austin's arrival, because he knew Austin would defy orders and seek revenge at Madison Square Garden. Vince told him his return was much too soon, and pleaded with him to take some time off to let his neck heal. Vince offered him two months paid vacation, and a shot at Brian Pillman's Intercontinental Championship at the Survivor Series. Austin wouldn't have any of it, and gave the chairman the Stone Cold Stunner. He was promptly arrested.

Taka Michinoku defeated Brian Christopher (6:42) with a Michinoku Driver.

On commentary, Jim Ross said that according to the injured Mankind, he has a "replacement" for the evening's streetfight main event.

Ken Shamrock defeated Henry O. Godwinn (2:51) when he submitted to the ankle lock. After the match, he ripped up a poster with Bret Hart on it.

Another pre-taped promo with Paul Bearer was shown, but this time he addressed Kane instead of the Undertaker. He told Kane that they would have their revenge soon.

A vignette starring Dok Hendrix was shown. He was in Stamford touring a replica of the setup for the main event of Bad Blood. He put over the danger of the Hell in a Cell structure that will encompass the ring.

Cactus Jack pinned Triple H (13:40) in a streetfight following a piledriver through a table.

Michael Cole was promptly choked out by The Undertaker after bringing up Paul Bearer and Kane.

Bret broke a crutch over Ken Shamrock's head backstage.

Bret Hart cut an in-ring promo. He told Shawn Michaels and Undertaker that no matter who wins the Hell in a Cell, he will make short work of them at Survivor Series. This led Shawn Michaels to come out. He and Bret had some words. The arena went dark and Undertaker was next to arrive. Michaels had already jumped out of the ring at this point. Bret Hart insulted the Dead Man, who then grabbed the WWF Champion in a chokehold. Shawn Michaels ran back in and delivered Sweet Chin Music to the Undertaker as the show went off the air.

WWF Raw is War

September 29, 1997

Albany, NY

Ahmed Johnson pinned Kama Mustafa (3:56) after a Pearl River Plunge. The Rock did commentary at ringside during the match and had a staredown with Ahmed afterwards.

Vince McMahon taking a Stone Cold Stunner at MSG was reviewed. On commentary, Vince McMahon said that he knew Austin's return was much too soon, and at Bad Blood, he would suffer the consequences for "being irrational". Vince avoided any further discussion about the situation.

Taka Michinoku wrestled Aguila to a time limit draw. (10:00) Afterwards, Aguila hit an enziguri on Michinoku.

Triple H was backstage, complaining about his loss to Cactus Jack the previous week, when the lights went out in his room. They didn't come back on as it went to commercial break.

Brian Pillman cut a promo on Steve Austin, saying that he knows Steve will show up on Sunday, and when he does, Pillman will break his neck and take his title.

Vince McMahon commented that Triple H has apparently "disappeared", and that WWF staff is on the lookout for him. Lawler said it was one of "Shawn Michaels' master plans".

Davey Boy Smith defeated Road Warrior Hawk (5:32) when Owen Hart interfered.

Patriot and Road Warrior Animal told the Hart Foundation that justice would be served not just on Sunday, but later tonight as well.

Paul Heyman entered the broadcasting booth to talk about ECW's appearance at Badd Blood. Jerry Lawler and Heyman exchanged words, but were kept apart by Vince McMahon.

Ken Shamrock defeated Bret Hart (15:32) in a non-title flag match. The Hart Foundation interfered in favor of Bret while The Road Warriors and The Patriot assisted Shamrock. Steve Austin returned to crack Brian Pillman over the head with his title and a big portion of the staff and locker room had to break up the fight.

The Badd Blood card was reviewed. The matches include Bret Hart vs. Patriot for the WWF World Title, Steve Austin vs. Brian Pillman for the Intercontinental Title, The Rock vs. Ahmed Johnson, Taka Michinoku vs. Aguila, The Patriot and The Road Warriors vs. Davey Boy Smith, Jim Neidhart and Owen Hart, the just announced match of ECW's Dudley Boys vs. Sandman and Tommy Dreamer, and the Hell in a Cell match pitting Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker for the #1 Contendership.

Jim Ross conducted an interview with both The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels (with Chyna) in the ring. JR went over the history of their feud and asked both men their thoughts going into the Hell in a Cell. Undertaker didn't say much, while Shawn Michaels tried to downplay the fact that he was scared. Michaels asked Undertaker about the disappearance of Triple H. Footage on the Titan Tron showed that he was locked in a cell, screaming. Shawn Michaels got in Undertaker's face and they were about to fight until Paul Bearer came out. He once again warned the Undertaker about the return of his brother Kane, but said that it was closer than ever. HBK superkicked the dead man while he was distracted. Chyna then pulled a body bag out from under the ring and Michaels stuffed the Undertaker in it. Michaels was going to zip it up, but Undertaker's hand popped out and choked him. Undertaker got out and went to chokeslam him, but Chyna gave him a low blow. Undertaker then Tombstoned Chyna as Michaels ran off, not looking back. Vince McMahon hyped Badd Blood to end the show.

Sorry for the delay everyone. I'll be posting the shows since CM Funk isn't able to right now, but he'll be back soon.

WWF Raw is War

October 6, 1997

Kansas City, MO

A cold opening began the show as Vince McMahon stood in the ring. McMahon went over what happened in the Hell in the Cell. He hyped an interview with Shawn Michaels later in the night before announcing that the Undertaker was not at the arena.

Jerry Lawler advised fans who order the following night's Badd Blood replay to close their eyes during the ECW match, because it was pure garbage.

Sgt. Slaughter announced backstage that for getting the pinfall in the six-man the previous night, The Patriot would earn a non-title match against WWF Champion Bret Hart.

Jesse Jammes and Billy Gunn cut a heel promo.

The New Age Outlaws pinned the Headbangers (3:56) when Billy Gunn pinned Thrasher with a sunset flip. Outlaws did a beatdown after the match. They left the unconscious Headbangers laying in the ring in a compromising position.

Brian Pillman defeated Mankind (6:13) by disqualification after Mankind piledrove him through a table. **1/2 After the match, Mankind took the microphone and told the WWF that they weren't hardcore enough for Mick Foley and that he wanted a more suitable opponent.

Ahmed Johnson would get a rematch with The Rock later in the night. The Nation would be barred from ringside.

The Rock pinned Ahmed Johnson (4:34) with his feet on the ropes. * After the match, The Rock backed up the ramp, laughing at Ahmed. He didn't see the Road Warriors coming for him. They threw him into the ring, where Ahmed delivered the Pearl River Plunge.

Triple H wheeled the injured Shawn Michaels to the ring so he could observe Bret Hart's title match.

The Patriot pinned Bret Hart (11:39) in a non-title match after Shawn Michaels miraculously popped up to superkick Hart as he bent through the second rope to insult D-Generation X. Following the match, Michaels took off with Bret's WWF Title belt.

WWF Raw is War

October 13, 1997

Topeka, KS

It was announced that at the Survivor Series, Mick Foley would once again wrestle as Cactus Jack against ECW's homicidal, genocidal, suicidal maniac Sabu in a Falls-Count-Anywhere match. Jerry Lawler was furious and said that this may be the worst business decision WWF has ever made. Lawler went on a tirade until he was stopped by Vince McMahon. Paul Heyman immediately came out from the backstage area. Heyman politely asked McMahon if he could get in the ring to address Jerry Lawler. McMahon allowed it, but advised Heyman not to use profanity. Heyman then got in the ring and restated what Lawler had just said. He then cut a well-read promo against Jerry Lawler's bias towards ECW. Lawler picked up the mic and called Heyman a "fat sack of s**t". Heyman invited Lawler to get in the ring, but McMahon made sure it never happened.

The New Blackjacks defeated the New Age Outlaws (3:45)

Jeff Jarrett defeated Bart Gunn (4:12) by submission to the figure four. *3/4 This was Jarrett's return match to the WWF.

The Patriot came out and put over the fact that he had defeated Bret Hart once again the previous week. The Hart Foundation came out next and told

WWF Champion Bret Hart defeated Triple H (8:42) when he made him submit to the Sharpshooter. **1/2

WWF Raw is War

October 20, 1997

Oklahoma City, OK

Jerry Lawler was not on commentary due to a one-week suspension for using crude profanity the previous week. McMahon hyped a ECW team vs. Jerry Lawer's team elimination match at Survivor Series.

A two minute ECW produced Sabu highlight video was shown.

Paul Heyman came out and ran down Jerry Lawler and put over ECW. He then introduced three members of the Survivor Series team, the bWo. They did their nWo impression to get over with the fans. Jerry Lawler came out, and introduced all of his team at once- Jeff Jarrett, The Godwinns and himself. Rob Van Dam attacked Heyman from behind after coming through the crowd. The numbers game was too much for Team ECW. Heyman was eventually piledriven by Lawler.

A two minute WWF produced Mick Foley highlight video was shown.

WWF Raw is War

October 27, 1997

Tulsa, OK

It was announced that Sabu would be in the building next week to confront Cactus Jack.

Rob Van Dam (with Team Lawler) pinned Jeff Hardy (5:57). **1/4 Lawler cut another promo on ECW saying they wouldn't even be at Survivor Series.

Cactus Jack cut an all-time classic promo on Sabu, about how Jack would slaughter him at Survivor Series. There are still some unresolved issues between the two men left over from Cactus' tenure in ECW, but at the PPV it would be settled when Jack proves who the true maniac is.

WWF Raw is War

November 3, 1997

Hershey, PA

Cactus Jack defeated Bradshaw (6:32) with a double arm DDT in a falls count anywhere match. **3/4 After the match, the lights went out. When they came back on, Sabu was in the ring with a chair. Cactus was ready for him, so they had an even brawl. Sabu soon had the advantage and then smashed the chair over Cactus Jack's head. He went for a moonsault onto Jack, who was dazed and sitting on the chair but he bailed mid-move and Sabu completely destroyed the chair with his midsection. Still, he managed to chase Cactus (at a slow pace) to the back. No referee was willing to get involved.

Team Lawler came to the ring and called out Team ECW. Lawler wanted to see if they still had the guts to fight. Paul Heyman came out wearing a neck brace. Lawler asked if Heyman was the team. He said that his ECW wrestlers were battered and bruised, but they'd still kick some WWF ass. The bWo, Sandman and Tommy Dreamer came down to the ring. Sandman and Dreamer carried singapore canes. Godwinns took cane shots to the head before Lawler's team ran off through the crowd.

Does this mean that we're going to get a last appearance by Bret at IYH 19? Also if there's no screwjob, what's going to be the catalyst and believability apect of the evil Vince McMahon character?

There will be no screw-job. In regards to the Mr. McMahon character, he doesn't need the screw-job to turn heel.

As for Bret's last appearance...all I can say is stay tuned.
