Guest theoldxpac Posted August 7, 2004 Report Posted August 7, 2004 Ok before you start i already tried the one in the sticky thread, and i cant get that to work. Google blocks like 1 in a million now and thats usually something i want anyway. I got Pop Up Blocker 6 or something like that, but that blocks absoulotly everything including open in new windows, and even opening a brand new IE window. I just want something which blocks at least 90-95% of pop ups, but will let you open stuff in new windows. I used to have one that you just had to hold down shift while the window was opening and it would allow that, and it was displayed as a little stop sign, cant remember what that was as i lost it when i had my big ass virus last year, but something like that would be great. Any suggestions?

the max Posted August 7, 2004 Report Posted August 7, 2004 Just get Mozilla and help yourself in the long run...
razazteca Posted August 7, 2004 Report Posted August 7, 2004 I agree switch to Firefox or Netscape 7.1.
The Electrifyer Posted August 7, 2004 Report Posted August 7, 2004 Panicware Pop-up Stopper v 2.2 is what I use. Its perfect, it blocks every single pop up and also will allow pop-ups or for opening up a brand new window. All I can find now is Pop-Up Stopper v 3.1 here: http://www.panicware.com/product_downloads.html Maybe you could try the Pop-Up Stopper Basic there too.
Lil' Bitch Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 Ads Gone works well, but you gotta pay up after the 30 day trial is over.
Guest I'm That Damn Zzzzz Posted August 8, 2004 Report Posted August 8, 2004 WebWasher can be set to only allow requested popups and block most ads, and is free.
