Guest JMA Report post Posted August 8, 2004 I've heard the most recent script for Superman was garbage too, but the articles are saying it has been scrapped. The articles are correct. The JJ Abrams script is history. On a semi-unrelated note, Jack Black has NOT signed up for the role of Green Lantern. There isn't even a script for the movie, apparently. And sad that Nelly's Bandaid isn't here to cry since such an extremely awesome concept turned out to be false.
EricMM 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2004 Xmen > Superman. Duh. Anyways, Screw CM Funk for doing the poochie thing first. Well. Maybe Storm can have the Kevin Nash exit line. "I'm going bye now!"
Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted August 8, 2004 Oh man, they left off X-Men at the best part. I hope the new director doesn't fuck it up. *crosses his fingers to finally see Gambit on screen
Sass 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2004 Singer's going to bust his ass to revive a "dead" movie franchise. He knows this can draw huge bucks since practically everyone knows Superman and would pay to see a good movie with him and Lex Luthor playing mind games with eachother. starvenger 0 Report post Posted August 9, 2004 God I'd love Marvel to sue him over this - but it'll never happen, more numerous reasons. Probably because Singer's deal with Fox. He's still writing a 12-issue arc of Ultimate X-Men, I think. Maybe Storm can have the Kevin Nash exit line. "I'm going bye now!" If Marvel had more control over the writing they could just get Brian Bendis to kill her off for no reason other than that he could. As it is, they've got the basics of the story set up (The Phoenix/Dark Phoenix saga) so get a decent screenwriter attached (like the Spider-Man guys), get a director who cares about making good movies and go with it.
