Internet scam that accually turns out to be legit

Okay, read through this before you think "There's no way it'll work! Its BS!" I guarantee if you follow the steps right, enter real information, you WILL get a free iPod.

 

Here's the deal.

 

There is a company that is giving away free iPods in exchange for being able to advertise to you, and have you refer other people to them. Now, there's no scam here, they aren't charging you any money, and they aren't getting your credit card number. If you choose to sign up for an offer that requires a credit card, and cancel it, it costs you nothing, and the company that gets your credit card is the company that is advertising with them, NOT this free iPod company, so you can feel safe that the purpose of them giving the iPods is not so they can get peoples' credit cards. If you look at the URLs, it is AOL, etc. These are reputable companies, and you should trust them more than you trust a waiter at a restaurant to not copy down your credit card number.

 

Anyway, here's the deal:

 

#1 you follow this link:

#2: you enter a VALID email address, and your REAL home address. The email address doesn't have to be your primary, in fact, I suggest you use an email address you don't check regularly and have for the purposes of getting spam and stuff, because they're likely to spam it. But its not that bad, in exchange for a $300-400 20GB iPod or iPod mini. But you have to be able to check that email address because you'll need it to be able to complete the offer.

 

#3: you skip ALL of the ads that ask you "yes" or "no" if you want to sign up for their offer. Say no to ALL of them.

 

#4: at the end, you'll come to where it asks you to complete one offer off a list of about half a dozen offers. You must complete one of these. I suggest either the AOL 9.0, or the ebay.com one. The AOL 9.0 one doesn't credit you for a day or two, but, again, its a 50 day free trial, you don't even have to install the software or even use it, all you have to do is sign up, wait till it registers that you completed your offer, and then call them up and tell them you wish to cancel your account.

 

#5 get 5 people to do the same. And DON'T try to make fake accounts or sign up for yourself at work and stuff like that, get 5 real people to sign up, because they will check to make sure its 5 real people and not just you making a bunch of fake accounts to get one.

 

#6 wait a few days, and they'll ship you a free iPod. You can choose between a number of colours of minis, or a 20GB iPod. I suggest the 20GB, its way better, and the minis aren't even that much smaller.

 

Seriously, do it just this way, it costs ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, there is NO RISK involved, it takes like 10 or 20 minutes at the most, and you get a FREE IPOD. How could you not want this? I know a lot of people argue and are like "its as scam!" but it isn't a scam, and furthermore, how could it be a scam when it didn't cost you any money?!

The getting 5 people referral thing is what turned me off.
