I did a forum search and have poked around on Google but I haven't found what I'm looking for so I thought I would post the question here.

Who exactly owns (or whatever the term is) Firestorm? Marvel or DC? Some sites mention his comics and stuff are DC but then I see him starring in a cartoon show with Spiderman and Iceman...

Can anyone clear it up or point me to a good site on this? Thanks in advance!

Firestorm is a DC character.

Spiderman and Iceman starred in "Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends" on NBC with FireSTAR (who is also a girl).

Firestorm starred in the final two seasons of ABC's "Superfriends" series.

As an interesting note, Firestar is one of the few Marvel characters to have been created OUTSIDE of the comics - she was created specifically for "Amazing Friends" and first appeared in print around Uncanny 194...

Also, Firestorm is also credited as being DC's first "Marvel-style" hero, whatever that means...

By Marvel style, I guess that they are meaning that Firestorm is like Spidey in the sense that they both have geeky alter egos that are always picked on, big supporting cast, and for a pre-Crisis character, he had a very well established alter-ego.

Thank you! As soon as I read "FireSTAR" it was like a lightbulb turned on in my head and it all made sense.
