clean rob 0 Report post Posted August 18, 2004 Who cares if Eddie attacked a fan? Quite a few people, judging by the amount of replies these all-too-frequent threads seem to generate. My opinion on Eddie's temper tantrums hasn't changed since the first one that was posted here a year or so ago - whether it's morally justifiable or not, it's still unprofessional behaviour and he needs to get his attitude sorted out. If he needs some time off to do that then Vince should let him have it.
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted August 19, 2004 Alright, here is basically the last thing I am going to post in this thread....simply just to be done with it. I overreacted in this case initially and shouldn't have bitched about it. I still feel there was no reason for the thread in the first place, but we obviously are all intitled to our own opinion. Next time I simply won't post at all and not even worry about it. Sorry Eugene, next time I simply won't post in the thread........ *Kido goes face*
EdwardKnoxII 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2004 Eddie Guerrero Gets Angry At House Show Fans Interesting note from last night's tapings Pat Harris who was at the Hamilton Smackdown tapings last night has an interesting report of what happened with Eddie Guerrero. He writes: During the Guerrero interview at last night's Smackdown tapings, Eddie was getting some jeers from a couple young kids a few seats down (may have been Chimmel's fans). Nothing too offensive, just typical "You Suck Eddie" etc. After the interview Eddie eyed them down and held the ropes open for them to enter the ring. After the main event, Eddie was getting my ringside jeers (again, nothing terribly offensive) and he came over to those young kids again and started saying things like "who wants to be a man?" almost overly aggressive and challenging someone to try something. I have to say I was a little disappointed in that. I admire Eddie's ability in the ring immensely, but I thought that was a little low. If we were a heel, I'd probably rationalize it as a heel tactic; however, he is a face and a very over one at that. Eddie by the way I want to be a man and I know a man wouldn't let something so insignificant phase him. I originally had 12th row floor, but when my friend and I asked where our seats were we were informed that we had been relocated... to the front row. So this definitely made things that much better. Heidenreich just doesn't seem to have much ring psychology yet. It's too bad they're bringing him back to TV so soon. At one point these guys had a huge banner with Heindenreich's name in red on it. They moved behind Michael Cole and Tazz as the camera was on the announcers. I wonder if these guys were plants. The diva t-shirt bazooka wasn't working quite well. Torrie walked over and told/asked this younger 16ish girl behind us to put it on. I don't know if she meant for her to take off the top she was already wearing to put the new one on, but she did. Ring announcer Tony Chimmel had his own fan club with two young males who constantly professed their love for him. Credit: Wade Keller, PWTorch.com
Guest Brian Report post Posted August 19, 2004 I'm looking at the two reports on the Observer and neither have that up, which seems pretty significant.
bobobrazil1984 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2004 I think Eddie should be punished by losing to JBL.

Promoter 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2004 This is news? It seem Eddie was just messing around to me. Anyways, can anyone blame Eddie for losing it? He goes from defeating the monster Brock Lesnar for the wwe title to jobbing to the Dudleys as champ, getting attacked by Booker T for being a minor league champion, to losing to Bradshaw to losing to Kurt Angle. I mean, how much can one man take? Oh yeah, they like to call him a druggie in storylines. I would be depressed too.
tekcop 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2004 What kind of person says "the dope?" Doesn't that just scream ignorant moron?
Guest Quik Report post Posted August 19, 2004 I don't think it's a matter of him needing time off... Vince shouldn't cater to his needs when he has plenty of other guys who have been busting their asses for years who don't lash out at fans like this. If Eddie is being an asshole to the fans because he can't take the pressure, that's his own fucking problem. Vince has gone out of his way to help Eddie before, but you can only help someone so many times before you realize that thye just can't take the pressure anymore. Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Report post Posted August 19, 2004 They were booing him as a heel so he was acting like one back to them. Who cares really? Isn't booing a wrestler done to get a reaction from him? Some of these wrestling fans are true pussies, and Keller who has always been a questionable "journalist" needs to quite covering such fluff pieces as this. Guest Brian Report post Posted August 19, 2004 He has spoilers on his own site that don't even mention this. Of the three different reports, there's nothing to corroborate this story, which is very odd.
Guest Super Pissed Smark Report post Posted August 19, 2004 Did something happen to wrestling when I stopped paying attention? There's an eight-page thread with everybody getting their panties all wadded-up over fans not 'respecting' the Taker-Bradshaw instant-classic, cheering whoever the hell they wanted to cheer for, and probably consuming a whole lot of beer at the latest craptacular PPV. Now you're worried because Eddie, in the worst case scenario, may have spoken a few words to some fans at ringside, and one of the other fans who overheard the alleged spoken words was scarred for life by it, though not quite scarred enough to prevent him from typing up an account of it. That's it? Jeez, it's a good thing ECW isn't around any more, you'd all have heart attacks.
Guest whitemilesdavis Report post Posted August 19, 2004 After reading the report, I've changed my mind. Eddie should be fired immediately. He needs to realize that he is a face, and all faces are supposed to be complete pussies. He should let anyone talk trash to him anytime and he should never respond. He should never get angry. Actually, with this hideous behavior, they should skip firing, and just castrate him. Or they could shoot the beligerant drug addict in the face.
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2004 Regardless if someone is a face or not, they shouldn't have these types of interactions with fans. Period. It's like when Albert Belle or Tie Domi get into it with a fan. People (e.g. the media & fans) shit all over the player and say how unprofessional it is. But when a wrestler does it it's supposed to be acceptable? If it's part of an angle or a way to build heat I have no problem with it (e.g. when Flair calls someone in the crowd "fat boy") but when it's obvious that the wrestler is breaking character, it's not right. Torrie walked over and told/asked this younger 16ish girl behind us to put it on. I don't know if she meant for her to take off the top she was already wearing to put the new one on, but she did. How come no one started a thread about this 16-year old girl takign off her shirt and changing right there? That's a better news story than Guerrero losing his cool again. Guest whitemilesdavis Report post Posted August 19, 2004 Do you really think that his behaviour was that bad? He should be suspended based off a report from some mark in the crowd?
nl5xsk1 0 Report post Posted August 19, 2004 wmd, I'm unsure if that question is aimed at me, or someone else, or just out there for anyone to answer. So, I'll give a response. Yes, his behavior was uncalled for & unprofessional. It was something that a green rookie would do. Or a guy that can't control his rage (a la Scotty Steiner). Guerrero isn't green, a rookie, or known as someone with anger management issues. But this is now the third time that he's lost his cool in the ring, because of fans. Once was too many in my eyes. Should he be suspended/fired/anything else? No, not at all. And I've never suggested that he should be. But should someone sit him and down and remind him what's expected of him, and maybe give a "next time we might have to punish you" type of warning? Yes, definitely. I wouldn't even be against a small reprimand like losing at house shows, or a small fine. Guerrero should know better than to ask a fan to "be a man", and if he needs to be reminded of this, then someone should remind him.
Guest whitemilesdavis Report post Posted August 19, 2004 I just don't get it. Guererro's character is a tough guy. Tough guy's don't let people heckle them. Oh well.
