Guest fanofcoils Report post Posted August 27, 2004 US will likely win the bronze medal. After they win 2 games they lose.

Guest JohnnySwift Report post Posted August 27, 2004 So, do they go home with the bronze or empty handed?
KingPK 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2004 They completely gave up in the last minute, not even fouling to force Argentina to the line. Did they even hang around to shake the hands of their opponents? They play whoever loses the other semifinal game for the bronze.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2004 Damn it I missed the game for the F'N Blues Brothers 2000 movie
Brett Favre 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2004 Well, this is embarassing. Not really. Argentina is arguably the best team in the tourney. If only Larry Brown had let Stephon Marbury play like Stephon Marbury throughout the whole game...
Red Baron 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2004 Or you know, got a better team, that you know, can adapt to the International rules instead of marketable players.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2004 I think the players were fine. The problems as I see them is that the team was rushed together with inadequate preparation, and there was not enough versatility on the roster.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted August 27, 2004 What do you expect when 4 of the starting lineup wants to do layups and the center is expecting the pass in the paint! Big deal the team got the rebounds but it does not matter when they can't score on the other end! Big deal they drew fouls in the paint but it does not matter when the team shoots 66% from the line! The NBA style can no longer compete in the international games since it is a different game with different idealogy. No longer can Team NBA expect to get the foul calls or expect the opponets to fear them just because they are Americans. Its time to stop driving down the lane and dumping the pass to the center and expect points. Its time to get some 3 point specialist on the team.......and without them the team cannot win.
