Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 prince - batman soundtrack god i love this album. Is it worth $8 if I can get it? Considering how I am with Prince, I probably shouldn't even need to ask. DJ Shadow, "What Does Your Soul Look Like." Some of the stuff on this album is incredible and some of it is just too dense for me to dig on. Methinks it's gonna be one of those 10-listens-and-the-genius-hits-me selections.
Guest godthedog Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 fuck yeah. i mean, it's not groundbreaking or anything, but it's a ton of fun. "batdance" alone is worth $8. fun fact: i found my current copy on VINYL for $8. and i can't believe you never owned it. didn't you get on the batman bandwagon when you were seven? this was the hot shit, like bobby brown when 'ghostbusters 2' came out.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 I had a heap of Batman toys--my favorite being a Joker whose oversized lapel flower actually shot water, which in 1989 was mind-blowingly great--and, now that I think about it, I had a cassette single for something off that. I think it was "Batdance." Maybe I'll rent the movie too and make a whole day of it.
Guest godthedog Posted July 29, 2003 Report Posted July 29, 2003 i remember that toy! i had the "quick change" batman, who had all these costume pieces you could switch & change him from bruce wayne to batman. and i had the batmobile with the little yellow missles. on second thought, just download "batdance," "electric chair," "lemon crush" and "scandalous." if you like those, get it.
