Guest Staravenger Report post Posted August 30, 2004 Thats a tough question. On one hand, the Flair DVD is three discs and features classic matches from his NWA days and the 1992 Rumble. The cons are it doesn't spread over his career. Benoit's DVD features matches from between 1990 and 2004, which is almost his whole career, except for the 1986-89 portions. Plus it's cool to see Benoit evolve in wrestling to what he know of him today. The matches on the Flair DVD set are really good, but the Benoit DVD has no slouching in match quality. It all boils down to who you like most really. I'd say Benoit because it feels like a better set with the biography added in, while the Flair one is just matches thrown in with 3 minute intros by Flair for each feud. Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted August 30, 2004 Hard to say as I like both, but the music editing on Benoit's DVD is fucking annoying.
hitman2003 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2004 I'm a huge Ric Flair, and I love his DVD. It's three discs and has some great matches on there. However, I'd say the Beniot DVD is better. It covers more of his career and it really shows how he's evolved over the years.

Don't forget about all the little extra promos and build-up stuff on Flair's dvd.You can nearly relive the feuds behind the matches with all the stuff they put on there from it. I do wish they had a biographical piece on there but we can only hope for that on his next dvd. I still think it beats out Benoit's.

razazteca 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2004 I like them both but the Benoit one had matches from Japan so it is a little bit better. If there is going to be a Flair Volume 2 DVD will it feature some japanese matches? I want to see the match from the Egg Dome(?) at Toyko where Flair lost to Tatsumi Fujiname(sp?) and the rematch from Florida. I think it would also be great if there were matches from the old NWA regions other than WCW. I would love to see some CWF or Mid-South matches that had Barry Windham at his best. SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2004 The Benoit dvd. Hands down. It made me excited to be a wrestling fan again. That's something the Flair dvd didn't do. But nothing against the Flair dvd, which I also enjoyed quite a bit.
CanadianChick 0 Report post Posted September 5, 2004 Hard to say as I like both, but the music editing on Benoit's DVD is fucking annoying. Is it really that annoying? Come on now, that's a really petty thing to complain about. I liked the Benoit DVD better. The main feature was great story telling, and the matches were off the charts. A rocketbuster, if you will.
