OK, side subject. Ellen Ratner is saying that the podium at the Republican Convention looks like a pulpit and it is a subliminal attempt to make you think that you're in church. I'm not making this shit up...

I'm more concerned with the blatant subliminal advertising on CNN during the convention. On the banner at the bottom of the screen where it says "Republican National Convention" or whatever, it has a waving American flag to the right and then above it where the blue field and 50 white stars should be, there's a red, white and blue ball that looks just like the Pepsi logo. It has to be intentional because there's no way the flag (in that position) could make that exact shape and exact color scheme. Is Pepsi in anyway part of the CNN-Turner mega conglomerate?

 

My god, I'm starting to sound like Ralph Nader..........

I'd say the pray service going on at the end of last night's activities made it feel much more like a church than any podium.
