Thanks again, with this and the Von Erich thread in Old School, it seems like my collection will be getting a little wider with more US promotions. Jason
JoeDirt Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 I'd go with recent stuff and get: ROH Reborn Stages 1 and 2 Generation Next World Title Classic Survival of the Fittest And then get the DVD of ROH Reborn: Completion (the 7/17 show) as soon as it comes out, which should be soon. This will give you a great intro into the current characters and angles in ROH, and all these shows are fantastic.

You can actually get a best of Samoa Joe DVD on ROHwrestling.com that has all his really good matches. But some of the best have been his match against Christopher Daniels at GBH2, his cage match against Jay Briscoe at At Our Best, his title match with Homicide at Generation Next, his match at Death Before Dishonor against Paul London, and I'm sure there are several more.

Anytime. Actually, maybe I want to ask more questions. What are the 5 best wrestling cards they have on DVD? As in, which are the top to bottom 5 best cards they've produced? Things like that. Personally, ROH storylines aren't what I would be interested in. I think for me, and perhaps for others, we just want the best wrestling they can offer. Thanks again guys. Jason

Yeah, this is a pretty good list.. I wasn't a big fan of MSE, but everyone else seems to love it. A lot of people like Road to the Title, to, which is like the 4th ROH show ever.

His match vs AJ was really good, too. Joe vs Jay was very overrated, but still pretty good. It just wasn't Joe because it wasn't his style at all. It was just Jay bumping and selling.

It was just Jay bumping and selling. Honestly, the reason why the match wasn't Joe's style is because it was a cage match. Otherwise......the storyline for it is fucking sweet.

Eh.... that's why I said it's not Joe's style... because it was obviously in the cage. That's not Joe's shit, even though he can brawl. Storylines add emotion, but don't make a match.
