strummer 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2004 -Edge will miss about six weeks of action due to a grain/abductor muscle tear. He will not need surgery. Credit: Torch I guess Christian gets Edge's spot, so disregard the blowoff to their feud in the cage 4 months ago
MarvinisaLunatic 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2004 Obviously, Edge and Christian will reform for a few weeks to keep Edge on TV and harken back to the great days of Edge and Christian as a Tag Team, with Christian facing Jericho.
Guest bigm350 Report post Posted September 2, 2004 It'll be a month and a half re-continued Jeicho-Christian feud and then Edge will return, perform a conchairto with Christian on Jericho and then E+C will reunite.
Ultra Violence 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2004 It'll be a month and a half re-continued Jeicho-Christian feud and then Edge will return, perform a conchairto with Christian on Jericho and then E+C will reunite. Christian will get called out next week on RAW, Trish will come out with Tokmo. They'll rip on Jericho. Edge and Christian will come out and conchairto Jericho, Jericho will fued with Christian (who'll have Edge by his side) Jericho will go over, but then Edge will interfear. Benoit will then come out and make the save setting up Edge / Christian vs Benoit / Jericho. This is nothing more than a prediction so don't expect it to happen. SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted September 2, 2004 I'm having a hard time picturing a stable consisting of Edge, Christain, Trish, and Tomko for some reason.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted September 3, 2004 I think they'll continue to play Edge's "I had nothing to do with Christian attacking you" card. He seemed more confused than overjoyed when Christian attacked Jericho. This is actually leading to a somewhat interesting gimmick, if they continue with it. Everything on the planet makes Edge look like a heel and yet, he claims innocence and even does a few things to back up that claim (the hand shake with Jericho for example) which is of course immediately cancelled out by someone like Christian doing something to counter act it in the fans eyes. Better than Edge fighting Kane for no reason anyways.

Guest JMA Report post Posted September 3, 2004 Maybe Edge could get disillusioned by no one liking or trusting him and take a leave of absense. He could then show up a few weeks later hanging out in the crowd, saying nothing. Perhaps he could even randomly attack people. That angle could get over. Problem: Comedy Edge hasn't been funny since, well, Comedy Kurt Angle was funny. He was always funny as a heel, but that's besides the point. Neither Edge nor Christian should do comedy per se. They should do the same amount of comedy that Jericho did as a heel: enough to earn a chuckle once in a while, but not so much that they can't be taken seriously. Guest JMA Report post Posted September 3, 2004 The good thing is that Edge doesn't need surgery. His spot should also be safe, considering he's only missing six weeks. I'm guessing WWE will have him in a few backstage segments for a couple of those weeks as well.

Neither Edge nor Christian should do comedy per se. Seriously, though, Jericho had it down correctly. Mainly because alot of his comedy was based on some true fact and he could get very mean spirited.

Just because Edge and Christian re-unite, doesn't mean they have to turn back to being goofy heels who'd make fun of the city and do their 5 second poses. THat'd be like when Jericho turned heel in late 2001 going back to Conspiracy WCW Chris Jericho. Christian's already proven he can do this well. Judging from Edge's slightly heelish acts in teh last couple weeks, he can do it too. It's just a matter of WWE not getting lazy and going back to what works short term, but doesn't help them long term.
